No you can definitely try for free.  The BCY is just used to buy the special Blockchain cards in the game.   I believe when the game gets released players will be able to earn bcy to be able to buy the special cards.  The new beta has over 300 added cards.  Yeah you don't have to purchase BCY to play the game.  You can immediately start playing and enjoying it hahaha.  The blockchain cards are the cards that players own and can trade with others.  This is the first time where gamers can own their own assets and trade.  Enjoy it and yeah man, I think it's a great game and will make waves when it comes out.  The last game they released "Moonga" had over 50,000 players on googleplay so this might be huge.

Hey guys just letting ya know that if you wanna try a new game that's coming out on Android/Iphone the last season of Beta is here and all are welcome to try it.  The game has developed pretty wonderfully and I think the crypto community should be at least aware that they can try a fantastic game such as this.  The game is slated for a soft release in August and a full release in September.

All you pretty much have to do is sign up an account on www.spellsofgenesis.com and make an account.  The tokens used in the game(BCY) are Counterparty(XCP) assets and are tradeable on Poloniex also(just in case you wish to know where to acquire more of them........also an investment vehicle as well).  Anyhow, once you sign up you can put your counterparty wallet address into your account and from my understanding the beta testers(depending on their ranking leader board shown here..... http://api.moonga.com/sog_leaderboard/

Everyone in cryptoland enjoy the game and honestly I think it's a pretty bad ass game myself.  The artwork is phenomenal for the cards.  I figured with all this hoopla with BTC blocksize and infighting, it's nice to see some actual products that utilize the bitcoin blockchain's technology in creative ways.  Enjoy!
