What Bitcoin wallet did you try to send to? Was it Bitcoin Core or Electrum or something else? And did the bitcoin address that you sent the LTC to start with a "1" or a "3"?

I am new to cryptocurrency. 2018 Christmas I got persuaded to buy 4 litecoin that cost $2000 aus. They immediately dropped to $200 in 2019. Then I sent those litecoin from my litecoin wallet to a Bitcoin wallet so obviously they never arrived there.

I have the wallet sent to. I have my own wallet I’d. I have the code for the litecoin in the blockchain. How do I retrieve my Litecoin?

I have a btc address from luno
Unfortunately, from what I can tell, Luno is a "centralised" exchange service... So, you have no way to directly access the private keys for your "deposit" address. It is controlled by Luno.

You will need to contact their support and see if they can assist in recovering your coins. Note that some exchanges have a "minimum" value for recovery or charge a fee for this... and some just refuse to do it. I cannot find anything on their website regarding Luno's policies for "crosschain" coin recovery Undecided

Okay thank you so much for your assistance I’ll contact support

Hi sorry about that
I have a btc address from luno it starts with 3 so I’m guessing it’s a p2sh from what i read I accidentally sent ltc to my btc address how do i go on retrieving the private key people on YouTube where using the block chain website to do so does that work
I suggest you to create your own thread because even thought he topic is the same, the info in the OP and follow-ups would be confusing.
Also include the necessary info to minimize the time and number of posts to get to the point.

You can follow this sticky thread: [READ BEFORE POSTING] Tech Support Help Request Format

As for the issue, whether it's recoverable or not depends on the wallet and the P2SH address' script where you've sent the litecoins.
You can check the balance by converting it to "M" address here: https://litecoin-project.github.io/p2sh-convert/ then paste it to a blockexplorer.
But please continue the discussion in your own thread.

Hi how to u use the core address my btc starts with 3
It would be better if you started a new thread and explained your problem with more details. What are you trying to do and what do you mean with "how to u use the core address"?
An address that starts with 3 is most of the times not a multisignature address. It's usually a P2SH or Nested SegWit address. What problems do you have with your "3" address?

since Electrum was mentioned above, i have to say there is no option to import a single multi-signature (private keys and redeem script) into Electrum. your only option is if the address was derived from master keys and you import those in Electrum.
if your address starting with 3 was a multi sig then your only option is to use the core wallet.
