Just curious, but what would be the purpose of using a spoiler tag here? The feature is not installed on these boards, but as an alternative, why not highlight your black text with a black glow? This requires the user to select and highlight the text in order to see it.

this is an example.

Code:
[glow=black,2,300]this is an example.[/glow]

The only downside is that you cannot view the text on mobile devices.

When you're creating a very long post that's split into sections, using spoilers it'll look better and won't bother users to scroll way too much around.
For example, consider my post here: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/list-of-stuff-you-can-use-bitcoin-for-3097705  as the list grows and gets separated into categories, it'll be awesome if I could put the category name only, with spoiler tags under it, so you only expand the category you want to read instead of having to scroll over all categories.

Nope, I just tried it now, it showed me dae wae. lol jk.

Highlighting it shows the text within, note that i use chrome on my mobile in highlighting the black glow. Which makes your argument, in my opinion, pretty valid and the best solution for spoiler tags. +1 on your side.

EDIT: I also tried using the phone's default browser. It also shows the text within and it is a lot clearer than the chrome. Nonetheless, both chrome and the default browser shows the hidden text.

It's usually useful for example when you are posting a long post with some paragraphs, lists, etc that you want to hide or for any other reason. It makes it more clean; highlighting the text in black may be useless, hiding something with something that needs to be hidden too

Me too, I wanted to use it before but It doesn't work here, not sure why, maybe it's supposed to be enabled from the administration side?
It's the first SMF based forum I use where it's not possible to use the spoiler tags :/

I've been trying to find spoiler tags, you know those things you click to expand/shrink part of the post...

Don't they exist around in this forum?? if not then what's the possibility of them being added??
