Even though it took me the whole five minutes to understand the first paragraph of this comment,  but the second paragraph opened up everything as to your preference of sports for the weekend reason being that the various matches are fixed on that date but in-house games can be played every other day of the week.

I also agree with the fact that sports are best for relaxation for the weekend since aside from the ease of speculating the matches,  it also gives us the chance to watch throughout the 90 minutes of the games this gives the highest form of entertainment for the weekend.

I know that this OP needed the answer to this question within a time-frame which has past but since the thread is not locked, I will provide my opinion on it. Whenever I know that there is going to be family time, we tend to turn off all electronic devices and be in the moment. We prefer to do in-house games over the other one because it gives us more control over the games. We simply, allocate a budget for each of the activity. And stick with the level of risk you're comfortable with.

House game can ruin your weekend in a short period of time since this game can give instant result so it’s either you will win or lose quickly will control your mood for the weekends. I choose sports bet over house game if my intention is to just chill and have during my day off since sportsbet makes you watch the game and enjoy it which consume time while house game is purely just watching the animation of the game hoping for a win. Well I would say it all has to do with your level of skill for each game type.  For me, when it comes to "in-house" games, I excel at Texas Hold'em ( or poker ) as well as roulette and several other skill card games.  But I excel more when it comes to betting NFL football.  I have a better understanding of it, plus there's a better percentage chance of me winning a bet (which is 50/50) versus sitting at a poker table with 10 other players trying to be the last man standing.
