Thanks so much, you guys! You are AWESOME! So other than the 'slang', I was understanding this perfectly (thanks to the game I used to play), so very cool. I profited in that game... let's see if I can profit here too, ahaha!

I'll run some fake bets (list down my 'favourites' without actually betting) and see how I do!

As for having to make two straight bets, I don't know why it tells me I have to *scratches head* I'll see about it more later on when I go to bet for real.

Straight bets are bets made on a single outcome of a match. You can have multiple straight bets of the same match, but if you want to make a parlay you have to choose straight bets from different sport events to include in your parlay. Also for your parlay to be winning you would need to get all your straight bets right in it, however some sportsbooks have a leader board and if your parlay has amazingly high odds you might be able to receive a consolation prize if you have missed your parlay by just 1 game. Actually it's a pretty common thing to have multiple straight bets on the same game if you are hedging on a specific result of a match.

Also... what's a "Straight" bet? And how come I have to make two of them? Does this mean both of these bets have to win for me to get my winnings(in the game I played, we called this 'cross betting': when we bet on two players of two different areas)? Or are these just two different 'single' bets?
Since most of your questions are answered i'll just answer these two. A straight bet(most common type of bet) is a bet placed on a single outcome of the match.

What's a parley bet? I can't even begin to understand that. Sad
A parlay bet ( also called as combo bet) is where two or more bets are linked together to form a huge profit. Only one losing result can deem the parlay as a loss.

You shouldn't have to have 2 "straight" bets... unless you are attempting to create a "parlay" or a "teaser"...

Straight bets are exactly that, you picking one thing to bet on and putting some money on it.

The Parlay is simply staking up your bets to increase the payout. The catch is that ALL bets have to win for you to get paid out. It is like winning Bet 1, putting all your winnings from Bet 1 on Bet 2, winning that and putting all the winnings from Bet 2 on Bet 3 and so on and so on... until all the bets in your parlay are completed successfully and you win BIG (yay! Grin) or one of them loses and everything is gone (boo! Sad)

The teaser is a bit like a parlay, but they can allow you to adjust the points spreads a little bit... the payouts will then be slightly lower than taking a standard parlay using the original point spreads etc.

yes that number .09 is the max bet they are accepting right now
on that game/person. Sometimes smaller games/matches they have
whats called "reduced limits" so they dont get one sided action leaving
them vulnerable having a bunch of money bet on one person and could
stand to lose alot if that person win.

A parlay is when you take 2 or more teams and play them together for a bigger
payout.  All teams need to win in order to win a parlay which is harder and so
they pay you more if all the teams in the parlay win.

Hi, some kind user on this forum suggested that I sports bet because of my love for gambling. He referred me to a site that allows small bets (cause I am a cheapskate, heh), but there are some things I don't quite understand about it.

I am quite familiar with betting on... 'players' (well... somewhat, I played a virtual betting game that is similar to this sort of gambling), only there are terms I don't understand, and with Google there is a wide variety that can pop up when you search (not to mention I am just terrible at finding information on something I know very little about).

So... I'm a newb here, and I could use a little help, if you would....

I am at this site:
https://nitrogensports.eu/

It looks fairly... simple... So I went to the sports betting part and clicked "Starting soon", I see 0.09BTC under all these matches; what's this mean exactly? Max bet? It doesn't say either way... Here's a screenshot (note the red outlined boxes I put):

Thanks in advance, if you're willing to help a somewhat-clueless-newb!
