There is a magnitude of data available for professional players and teams, but it is very difficult to find any data for the amateurs.

We all had the amazing athlete with us at school.  Try it for yourself, Google him or her and see which data you get on the internet. Maybe you will find some in a specific school database.  Maybe some was captured in a provincial or state level database.  Bottom line it is very difficult to find.

Professional athlete data
Bear in mind that not a lot of athletes make it to the professional level.  The athletes that make it to the top are only the peak of the iceberg if we have a look at the number of athletes from age 12 and upwards.  Sure the data for the professionals is very important, to see how their times and stats competes with their peers.  But what about the millions and millions of amateurs that are wondering how they compare to their peers.

Amateur sports data.

When amateurs want to know how they compare on their specific level with the rest of the world, the data is not available. To go even further what if a 14 year old athlete want to compare their information with the historic data of a professional athlete when they were years old.  How do we know that an amateur athlete has amazing potential at an early age if we do not have historic data to compare with.

How do we know an amateur sportsperson is doing the sport best suited for themselves at an early age?

If we have the data available to compare current performance against historic stats, we can change the way the whole sports industry operates today. ### Just think about it.  SportsPodium aim to build the largest decentralised sports database, by providing the amateur sportspeople of today, an easy to use interface which will use the latest gamification technics through a newly developed social media application.  To top it all the Sports Person will be incentivised with our crypto token PODs to provide their data.   SportsPodium believes that we all should receive value for the value we give.
