It's great when people who are into innovations join civil service and spread awareness about things there. Even if you're doing it during free time, it's still something new that people are learning and perhaps one day they'll figure out how to implement it in your country. That, of course, depends on the department you're in and the kind of projects you and your colleagues are actually working on, but people switch departments sometimes, so even if your civil service is far from whatever sector can help with Bitcoin adoption, it's still nice you're spreading info about it.

I think every step taken to GENUINELY promote bitcoin should be applauded👏, as it's essential to aiding our trading and investment.

Howbeit, let's be guided and not try forcing people, else they might see it as scam.

Promotion of bitcoin not only with its introduction but also with trading and investment. A few years back, opening up the way of bitcoin in London, Paris etc were remarkable. People are using different technology to reach the masses. Nowadays, people are faster adopters.

It's great that you're spreading word about bitcoin, congratulations. All I can say in this situation is keep it going! You're doing the right thing.

Bitcoin has a huge emerging market to fill in Africa and one day it's going to explode there, especially in countries that are forced to trade using cell phone accounts because their fiat money is worthless. this is where bitcoin is really needed and where it will bring real financial freedom.

I have taken it upon myself to go extra miles,to start introducing Bitcoin and its basic concept to people in my locality and place of work voluntarily.
Its actually a pleasure getting to know you are putting in your efforts to try to ensure those around get the basic knowledge about Bitcoin and Blockchain in general, and i will strongly advise that as you plan to tell people about Bitcoin, don't forget to also let them know that Bitcoin also a volatile currency whose value fluctuate every seconds, of which its advisable to invest a certain amount you can afford to loss

Quote
If so many persons are involved in the Blockchain, when our government notice this, they will be left with no option than to embrace this new era ,believing they will be able to generate tax for the country.
If the citizen's mass involvement in Bitcoin was a criterion for it to be made a legal tender, then I think Nigeria would have been one of those countries by now. Because taking a look at the chart below of countries mostly involved in Bitcoin, you could see Nigeria taking the lead on the chart and yet Bitcoin not legalized, unlike El Salvador and the "Central African Republic" whose name can't be found and yet Bitcoin legalized. So in conclusion, Bitcoin been made a legal tender has nothing to do with mass adoption

with the current state of the world right now where war is going on in some countries, it is really recommended to have bitcoins in your crypto wallet for emergency use.
Are you refer to Ukraine vs Russian?

How you can say Bitcoin can be used for emergency use during a war? I think in able to survive for war, you're need foods and weapon, not Bitcoin or other asset. It will become worthless since no one will looking about it including fiat money.

AFAIK Russia and Ukraine also doesn't accept Bitcoin as legal tender, so it's difficult to spend it for buy something in marketplace or groceries.

I guess what he meant was, bitcoin could be better used as a store of wealth in cases like the war between Russia and Ukraine. During the war, in addition to food and weapons, the preservation of property is also necessary for reconstruction after the war ends. We cannot store our assets in fiat or gold because they are too bulky to move anywhere, depositing money in the bank can also be lost if war causes too much damage. If using bitcoin, bitcoin will solve all the above problems.

You tried your best from your end. Make sure your country allows you to use crypto, so you will not in trouble later on. We should adapt Bitcoin to the next generation and our friend's circle. So they could learn about Bitcoin and how it works. Otherwise, our next generation will learn from where. Most important is to share proper knowledge about Bitcoin. So they won't be misguided. Keep it up mate and help Bitcoin adaption.
I see your efforts OP and I’d say everything is quite good and impressive. Just continue what your doing as it could be very helpful for some who didn’t even heard and know about bitcoin. Although expect that not everyone will like what you are doing, but never get discouraged  and stay focus on your goal. When the government will start to accept and adopt bitcoin, at least you know in yourself that you have been a part of its own success.

That's good and well done Franko, although it's going to be a long way to go you did it by having that initiative. About investing, I think many will still doubt you on this not until they've fully understood what you're teaching them. That's okay but don't feel bad and down when those people who you shared with those brochures and invitations of yours will think like that. Many will tell you that they're interested and will praise what you've told them about bitcoin but in the application of the actual buying and investing, not everyone who said that will have to walk the talk.
Everyone has different thoughts when it comes to bitcoin. Some will favor on it, some will doubt it, and some will even give their own points of view about bitcoin which might be opposite from yours. Accept whatever it is as you can’t persuade everyone to like and invest into bitcoin. But the good thing is, you are making awareness on it through certain facts which will definitely open the minds of some pro bitcoin. Later on, you will be surprised that they are already buying and hodling bitcoin. But I just hope you should also make them cautious investing in a risky investment like bitcoin.

You taking a big risk.. being a "new" employee and spreading information about a technology that are highly controversial.  Roll Eyes  Most countries do not have proper regulations regarding "Bitcoin" and crypto currencies, so people are using it in a "grey" area ...when it comes to the law.

What if you done this and many people bought bitcoins and suddenly your government bans Crypto currencies? You will have to warn those people about the possible consequences of their decisions.... to cover yourself.
This is why when I am still new in the class or at my new work, I always keep quiet until I gather more friends and other people will know me personally. That should be the time to share my knowledge on the things that I know such as bitcoin but of course I will not share illegal stuffs with them. If btc is restricted on my country then better if I will keep quiet because I am afraid they will blame me once they get caught out by the authorities.

If btc is fully legal, I will just tell them everything that they need to know including its disadvantages and risk, that btc is too volatile and then there are so many hackers or scammers who are after our coins.

Its wonderful to read your contributions, I appreciate all your encouragement and advises on my effort in spreading Bitcoin awareness. Its is during break time, I discuss bitcoin and not working hours.I am only telling them about the basics and not about investing. I have even received a call from someone that wants to learn, he got my contact from the flyers that I shared.
It is very important that you are as clear as possible about the fact that you are not really telling them what to do or this could eventually come back to haunt you.

And this is because most people are not really ready to invest in any market, especially one that is as volatile as the market of cryptocurrencies in general, so you'll need to make sure that you only offer the most basic advice and if people begin to ask you about in which coin they should invest you always deflect the question and never answer directly, because if you do and they invest in the coin that you recommended and they lose money they are going to blame you about their losses.

That's a nice way to let people know and promote bitcoin. And you are right, awareness is the first step for making bitcoin a legal tender or at least make business accept crypto currencies in your country. Just make sure to keep everything simple. There is no need to go deep into bitcoin when teaching them. If you do so, they will end up thinking it is something very complicated for them and will lose their interest. Teach them the basic, like how to create a wallet, how to keep them safe, how to make backups of the wallet, how to send/receive coins and how to buy them from exchanges or p2p method. These are actually enough for casual transactions that we do everyday.

The fact that people are spreading bitcoin all over the world and in different countries is very encouraging to me, A couple of weeks ago, I saw someone teach bitcoin to his neighbors and another person teach bitcoin to his friends. Even here on the forum, someone wrote a topic about teaching bitcoin in churches, which is great to see happening everywhere because it will increase people's knowledge of bitcoin and, consequently, lead to more bitcoiners and even more demand for bitcoins on the market, but we still have a long way to go because many others haven't heard about it.

very nice you can give voluntary information about bitcoin, not many people want to do it,
want to teach about bitcoin how it is used, how technology is used, how to be successful with Bitcoin, and this will be an opportunity for others to join in and learn to see the benefits of investing in digital gold.

some countries are already aware of the huge advantages of the bitcoin tax so they are now starting to campaign with bitcoin one of which is my country has now started to legalize a crypto mining because the government is starting to feel the big benefits of this crypto tax, actually you can do the same thing introducing bitcoin to people around you but as a suggestion you also need to learn a lot from this forum, many of them have interesting experiences for you to follow
Though there are already countries who are starting to understand the benefits of bitcoin, but I believe the majority are still in opposition of bitcoin simply because they never come to understand bitcoin itself. And good thing OP you are making it easier for people to understand since you are spreading facts about bitcoin. I hope your  own goal will be attained in the end and for sure with the help of this forum, you will gain more knowledge and different experiences from the people that will be very helpful in pursuing your goal.

He's just trying to spread the word about the usefulness of bitcoin and how it can generate income from investing in bitcoin, he's not bragging about how many bitcoins he has. Not everyone who knows bitcoin will become rich. I don't think you should overcomplicate the problem.
Spreading the word about bitcoin is good, but you cannot pretend that the way we do it is very important so we don't get ourselves in trouble or risk, there are many people that do not know anything about bitcoin but that it makes people rich and anyone that has even a small sat is rich, for these people you don't have to brag about how many bitcoins you have for them to think you are rich, what op did isn't bad, i was trying to point him to precautions he should take note of, cheers!

One thing to do is to spread awareness about it and to give an idea of how good it is compared to our current banks. You can make an introduction where you first explain to them how banks work and how they have options to strict out funds whenever they want. then you go ahead and explain the concepts of bitcoins and their advantage of them as part of your assets. I'm sure with the good explanations, people will accept it and will gonna consider at least having some bitcoins with them. with the current state of the world right now where war is going on in some countries, it is really recommended to have bitcoins in your crypto wallet for emergency use.

Of course this is a good initiative and needs to be supported to make everyone more aware that the future is in bitcoin and so that they also know that bitcoin has many advantages behind the risks.
If you keep doing this maybe you will get help from other people you tell and this can be a link so that everyone can get to know each other quickly.

Some people may not pay attention and seem to underestimate what you share. But it is an obstacle that you must overcome. Educating the people around you is what you have to conquer, if everyone around you knows about bitcoin, it will spread to other people quickly. This will be a wonderful experience for you.

Bro, no matter how small your contribution today, in the future it will be something big and useful far more than what we think. It doesn't matter how you convey even a piece about Bitcoin. At least Bitcoin doesn't die in the wrong minds. I really appreciate what you do. Because 100 miles starts with one small step. believe one day they will thank you for introducing Bitcoin. What I'm saying comes from an experience where I was introduced to Bitcoin by people who used to have high expectations like you. And it turns out to answer all expectations need the right time.

It looks like the guy have created an invite and requested them to join. The young generation is getting much into technology backed system, as a part technology into finance is also in need. This will be learnt over time by the young generation through the small initiatives taken by people like OP. From the very beginning of bitcoin into the world it is being spread through word of mouth and the same being taking place. This is also a success.

Three weeks ago I got employed as a Civil servant,in my place of work I went round from department to department, offices to offices asking my colleagues if they have heard or learnt about Bitcoin. To my greatest surprise only few of them have heard about Bitcoin, but they don't understand how it bitcoin works.    I will like Bitcoin to be adopted in my country as a ledger tender, just like El Salvador and Central Republic of Africa that are Bitcoin friendly.  For this to be achieved,I have taken it upon myself to go extra miles,to start introducing Bitcoin and its basic concept to people in my locality and place of work voluntarily. If they have the awareness and understanding of how Bitcoin works and its Decentralization, then they can start giving a trial of investing or saving in bitcoin.    From my locality and place of work, Bitcoin information will be spread to other places.

If so many persons are involved in the Blockchain, when our government notice this, they will be left with no option than to embrace this new era ,believing they will be able to generate tax for the country.   I have printed flyers and shared round for easy contact. Do you think this will make my goal come true ?

I can say for sure that many people know about Bitcoin but may not know its usage.Almost all our young generation people here know about Bitcoin. Those who don't know about Bitcoin are probably old people.Besides, almost everyone knows about Bitcoin. But to make bitcoin more popular and increase its usage we should do something so that people can get more understanding about bitcoin. But for this, the government must also take strict action. El Salvador has legalized Bitcoin in his country but everyone in his country is legally aware of Bitcoin. So I think the role of the government of that country is immense in making the use of Bitcoin and the popularity of Bitcoin in a country.

Talking about bitcoin to those who express interest is cool, but we should not expect that everyone should get into it. It's perfectly fine for someone not to be interested in Bitcoin and they should not be compelled to change their stance, except they show interest to do so.

Also, if you are interested in growing awareness about Bitcoin, using already available content is good enough. This would help prevent passing on inaccurate information to people, or getting them to understand it the way you do.

If so many persons are involved in the Blockchain, when our government notice this, they will be left with no option than to embrace this new era, believing they might generate tax from Bitcoin.
Getting governments interested in taxations from Bitcoin is not a flex at all.
I guess the government sees it already but they are still in the state of doubt and hesitation about bitcoin. However, good job OP as you are taking initiatives on how to spread the real concepts of bitcoin based on facts. Hopefully your efforts will paid off in the future as the people close to you open their minds into bitcoin.

African countries have been experiencing good rise in the usage of cryptocurrencies. Particularly many people are sharing what they know about bitcoin and trying their best to create awareness among the common public. People truly find the innovation to be a game changer in their economy as well as to play a big role in the country. This is why people keep on spreading about bitcoin.

Once a person gets to know about it, further he/she have got good number of ways to learn better about it.

This is a good initiative and I hope to see how you intend to spread the news so people can get to learn about Bitcoin and how it works. Leaning about Bitcoin can be a big opportunities for everyone that are ready to learn and embrace it without bordering about what the government thought about it. Many persons had become so successful with Bitcoin and it will be an opportunity for others too to join and learn to see through the benefits of investing in digital gold.

Many people need to learn about it although this may not be that effective but can be a tool to reach to people around you so they can learn the fundamentals of tapping into the world of cryptocurrency.

It is a very nice initiative and a sacrifice to make bitcoin adoption keep growing. Do you also have a rented house to teach the people you invited or you will teach them person by person. Do you really have the time.
I surely have planned to teach people about bitcoin but it must be my relatives or friends. I cannot go to a total stranger to talk to the person about bitcoin, my personal opinion.

Since you are newly employed, ask your boss or check their body language if what you are doing doesn't affect them in any way or not interfering with your own job.

Be careful bruh, you could surely get into trouble with your employers if you come off as being a disturbance to your new colleagues in your workplace, personally i will not talk about bitcoin in my work place, unless someone shows interest in the network, then if i can be of help to them in any little way i can, then i will, but to be employed just three weeks ago and you are in everyone's office talking about bitcoin; that may not be the correct way to go.
Bitcoin spread would only be talked about during people's break or during lunch, it could be interspersed with chat, rather than we spend most of our time spreading this information at company. That is not wisdom. He is there to make money not to propagate bitcoin, I believe he knows what he is doing.

Needless to say that as you try to teach people about bitcoin, you should also protect yourself and your privacy, you can be attacked by someone who feels you have money because you talked about bitcoin, you don't know most of your new workers, neither do you know their past record, i will prefer to play safe if i were you. It goes without saying that i am not against spreading the word about bitcoin, but it should be done decently and in a way that would not put the preacher into trouble.

I believe that with the use of social networks better individual intentions can be directed, if with the Internet in more than 12 years we are at the level we are, do you sincerely believe that making a few copies and delivering them on foot can have a better reach? In any case how can you measure the result of what you do.

If you think you are a disseminator, find other ways, always go to the highest link of communication, if you are in a company go to human resources or the person who employed you and tell him if you can give voluntary information about bitcoin, if there is a station in your sector radio go and tell them that you have the ability to answer questions about bitcoin, look for an influencer from your country or region write to him, there are so many more factual ways to reach greater reach.

I love the initiative recently, but for the love of god don't go down the route of telling people why Bitcoin is great. Simply show them what you can do, and the benefits of doing it, but don't tell them they need it. It's not for everyone, not in it's current implementation or state, and it almost becomes a little preachy when you come across as telling them why something's so great, and what they're missing out on.

I find it a lot, spreading information is all well, and good or teaching someone something, but if it isn't being told or taught the right way, it can actually be detrimental. Make sure you know your stuff, and you go about it the right way.

good things are a good start too, but educating or explaining bitcoin to them at work is not appropriate because we have to be professional with work, but during breaks it is the most possible thing to ask and tell, what is bitcoin?? ? , although this is still not optimal but at least they know and hear about bitcoin which will stimulate curiosity to know more about bitcoin, so they can find sources of information in the media and the web about bitcoin, they will even become members of a new forum here, for those who have an interest while for those who don't, we certainly can't force them

You're right with your advice mate, there must be a proper and thorough look on weather the atmosphere there in the workplace can permit such or not, or maybe something like you grt some of your close colleagues one on one to discuss bitcoin with them outside the work settings because if the idea of discussing bitcoin at work place got escalated to your boss, it may place your chances with the job on jeopardy, which means in everything you must do, always think about playing safe.

Anyone who takes the initiative to spread bitcoin or teach bitcoin a lesson to people who don't understand or know bitcoin is a very noble job, and spreading bitcoin in any way is the obligation of those of us who have been involved to have the awareness to do so, so that bitcoin is widespread and many are involved .
indeed I admit there are still very many people who don't know what bitcoin is, let alone blockchain and decentralization, and I also do the same thing when I'm elsewhere I will ask several people if they know or know bitcoin and it turns out that many don't and that's where we have to tell them at least a few sentences that are easy to understand and make them curious and find out for themselves.

Getting governments interested in taxations from Bitcoin is not a flex at all.

some countries are already aware of the huge advantages of the bitcoin tax so they are now starting to campaign with bitcoin one of which is my country has now started to legalize a crypto mining because the government is starting to feel the big benefits of this crypto tax, actually you can do the same thing introducing bitcoin to people around you but as a suggestion you also need to learn a lot from this forum, many of them have interesting experiences for you to follow
