We have already wired the $200K required by the Marshals to be a qualified bidder for the auction.

We are looking for serious bidders only ($100K minimum with KYC/AML documentation) who would like to be part of our group. Our deadline is this Wednesday to receive wires and information from interested parties.

Please PM if you are interested or want more information.

Since the registration phase ended today we have put some predictions for this topic on our market.
Thus for those who are not registered yet - this is a option to participate.

For example will the price of the Block B be higher then the lowest Block A?
People think that this will happen - if you don't and you are right you get 1.5 times your money back:

You could possibly get theymos or Sirius to hold the coins. How do people know this is the actual FBI auctioning off the coins and not some scammer?

I will PM them now. And yes for I trust .gov domains.

There's no way you'd have a chance at holding the coins. Only someone like theymos, Sirius, and a few others would have the chance at holding them. They'd be some of the only trusted people that'd be able to front 200K.

I'm willing to do this and I've already signed up to be a bidder, so I just opened another thread in the Marketplace area to keep things better organized.
Dude, nothing agains you but i wouldn't consider you as trused in any way. You have registered 5 days ago and you already want people to trust you with thousands up to milion(s) of dollars?
This won't happen no matter how mutch you try.

I do not mean to argue; it's just that the age of the account is irrelevant in trust. If I am willing to provide ID as suggested I would assume there are no further issues. Is there anything I'm missing?

nope, the entry person would need to front 200k while 200k raised + a fee were held in escrow until competition.

this ensures the entry cannot run off with other peoples 200k and it ensures there is 200k waiting I  escrow.

any thoughts on the community bidding in the auction.

20 people at 10k each can make up the entry deposit.

That's a good and interesting idea but, are we surely that 200.000$ can suffice?

200k is the deposit needed to enter the auction.

Winning bid would need to be transferred the day after auction winners are announced. It would be a lot of work.

we could try bid on 1 A group at 3000BTC or we could try bidding on the B group at around 2500btc

You also have the issue of the possibility of getting scammed by whoever is collecting the funds to submit a bid

Who knows how much the price will rise at an auction, I don't think many people that go bidding really know a good value at which they need to stop..
i read this is closed auction, not open auction
is it right?
wow many bidders are from bitcoin based company
i surprised when i see bidders from BNP Paribas
is she/he interested in bitcoin personally or BNP paribas interested in this auction and send him/her Grin

I can get 1K, but I'd have to meet/talk to the person running it.  People are not to be trusted.

You'd have an easier time getting 200 people at $1,000 I think.

They're making the entry point only accessible to those who want it most...  the already stinkin' rich...

If the forum would push this thread, I think a lot of people would sign up.

Look at the lending forums, people will invest in anything that offers a decent return.

I'd be willing to go in for $1K, I'm sure many others would be more receptive to this also but selling the idea's  a different story...

Best of luck  Grin

Not sure how this would entirely work but I doubt the FBI would let Escrow hold funds for them.

at no point do I say the FBI's 200k would be held in escrow

they're for sale now ?

No the auction is next month?

A 200k deposit(refundable) is needed to enter.

I figured we would need 20 people to front 10k each, this would need to be moved and held in a escrow

We would then need to find someone to front the full 200k and offer them a free % for their time and efforts.

I'm down for 10k
