Make sure you use the right bios editor for the type of the memory you want it to. There are editors which messes up with your gpu bios and then boom it will not work and if you don't have a dual bios then you might be screwed. Nothing can beat a hex editor, sadly not many people know or understand how to use it.

Didn't know there are bios editors for different memory types Smiley

Yep.. the problem was the patcher. Had run it. But then used DDU to remove the drivers at some point.. forgot to run it again.

RX580 usually works without patching, but other cards don't

I am trying to mod a ASUS DUAL RX 480 4 OGB - BIOS using the SRBPolaris BIOS editor. However, if i flash the new BIOS the GPU no longer works. It does boot and shows in device manager, but the clock rates are shown as 0 Mhz in GPU-Z and for example Claymore miner fails to see the GPU.

What bios editor should I use for this card? Flashib the original BIOS found from ASUS website always fixes the problem.

you need to learn a lot yet.

After flashing the bios use atikmdag patcher

Thanks for your reply. I hope it is something as simple as this. I actually forgot about the patcher.. since my RX 580:s work fine (I have patched the drivers at some point, but I guess I need to run the patcher again after using DDU). I will try to see if this is the problem.
