This is great. I want to see these Meetup groups start showing up in every major city in the world.
At the recent Bitcoin 2013 conference, I was very inspired by other bitcoiners in their success in creating local bitcoin communities. I have started a new bitcoin meetup.com group in St. Louis, Missouri available here:

There were a total of 5 of us at the first meetup last Wednesday. The next meetup will be announced on the meetup.com page. Tentatively I think we'll have another one next Wednesday, since there should be enough interest for one.
