No. This is a bitcoin forum. We don't need these threads for every other alt coin for users to easily spam a post in.

Hi everyone.  Grin

I would just like to ask if it is possible for us to post our ETH addresses here along with the signature
for the sole purpose of  proving our ownership of our account and to possibly recover it if it is hacked.

People would post their ETH address, Signature Hash, and Signature Message; and if possible, someone would quote it and verify the signature.

Kinda like what Mr. Tomatocage is doing on this thread: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/stake-your-bitcoin-address-here-996318

Now, I'm not an expert on Ethreum and I don't really know if their would be loopholes on this method.
Anyone could shed a light the technical issues would be greatly appreciated. Cheesy

I would also like to ask Sir Theymos if this method can be used to recover a hack account here on bitcointalk. Smiley

Web Services that I know of that can sign and verify ETH Addresses.

https://www.myetherwallet.com  <----- it's .com, not anything else..be ware of phising sites
(users can sign and verify their addresses here.)

https://etherscan.io/verifySig
(users can verify signatures here, not sure if they can sign a message tho)

Here's an Example: https://etherscan.io/verifySig/37

My ETH Address: 0x69d98bB4D7e20706D9F54207a0e2Eb0107AD62f5

Signature Message: This is the Great julerz12 of bitcointalk.org and @julerz5853 on twitter, signing this address to prove that I own this address: 0x69d98bB4D7e20706D9F54207a0e2Eb0107AD62f5, on JULY 20, 2017 12:30 PM 20 JULY 2017 12:30
