Have you tried to change difficult manually? (I don't know if you can with your miner) I hope you can reduce and solve this high rate. Generally need to change port to set a new difficult, but I repeat, I don't know if you can do it atm

Let me explore that area. So far I haven't notice any such thing in ethermine pool. But I'll check if further.
I hope, if possible, that solve your problem. I have a lot of stale shares if difficult isn't set at good rate. If you can check it, do it, hope can help you.

Look line new standard on ethereum for normal stale shares are about 4-7% from fork.
Sometimes is smaller percentage, but in lots of case is about 5%.
Anyone have idea how to lower stale shares?

Btw, the stale shares now reduced to 8-10% automatically. Don't know why.  But it's still high right ? Can I say 3-4% is ok?

Thanks. I'm running on a 500MBps and hoping that is sufficient. I'm using ethermine. Let me ping the server for latency.

Is the pool server you are connected to close enough?
e.g. You are in Europe and mining on a server located in US, this would increase the stale shares rate

5% seems to be the new normal stale share rate on Ethermine.  The new short block times create the larger stale hashrate.

Hello,

I'm running a rig with 8X1070, after couple of hours from starting the stake shares went upto 14%. Is this normal ? How can we reduce the stale % ? Any advise would be very helpful

No, 14% of stale shares is not a normal thing. Check your internet connection. This has more or less to do with ping with the stratum port. While running claymore miner, check the ping which is mentioned in ( ).
The nominal range is below 200ms.
