There isn't any magic. People have been talking about going to Mars for over 100 years. Governments - mostly the US and Russia - have been saying they will do it for well over 50 years. It's a lie, designed to suck more money out of people.
All that SpaceX is, is a lie that has enough technology behind it to make it look like the truth... a little better than any government in the past has been able to do. All there to suck more money out of the people one way or another.

SpaceX can suck away all my money they want. I’ll 100% be buying that IPO when they go public and what they’re doing is legendary. You are right that people have wanted to go to Mars for as long as they’ve seen stars in the sky. Elon Musk is actually going to fly rockets there. 2 years from now your statement will be disproven.

The point is that Musk is using Big Money, and it takes a lot of it to go to Mars in a successful way. How many people will ever go to Mars? Musk's money grows through system tricks - inflation. The money of the people shrinks - inflation.
