what about legality of hosting a gambling website? i mean is bitcoin real money or not yadahya? would there be a safer hosting service that would be less likely to take you offline...?

Not sure about legality. I've never read their ToS Smiley Noone knows for sure if Bitcoin is real money or not. U could start with free Google App Engine and move to other hosting when ur project becomes more popular.

For a lottery that spans a week or month 0 or 1 or 6 confirm makes almost no difference.

There is already a lottery with a 1% fee. If you want to break into the market you are going to need a guaranteed minimum imo. You probably will not get traction unless you are as transparent also, meaning all tickets send to one address so we know our tickets are counted and know how many there are and see the winner is paid properly.

hello all, i am interested in starting a lottery website.

what would be your best advice for hosting?

how to use zero confirmation to speed up process?

all transactions would be made public and house edge would be publicly stated as well

what are your thoughts?
