You should use Tails instead of Ubuntu,Mac , Windows or any other operating system (using it in Live-CD is better because all will be erazed once you take off the USB) , Tor as browser & you shouldn't use your real name in social media websites or anywhere else .
Finally and of course , you shouldn't be using credit cards etc ... and you should use Bitcoin as payment method otherwise everything will lead back to you .

If you where to buy a new laptop today what would be the first steps you would do to help mask anything you potentially may do on that said machine.
Mainly speaking about communication(ie. email,icq type) and masking ip and so forth.
Decided I rather go about things with less of a imprint and due to laziness on social media front,I believe I have done so.
