OP I would seriously reconsider the entrance in the mining game. You don't have much to invest in the first place and the mining game is very hard and unpredictable.

If you want to mine just as a hobby, go ahead. But if you want to mine for profits think about it twice.

for altcoin there is a whole section, but right now they are not more profitable than bitcoin, especially with the price surge that happened lately

bears in mind that with a single s3, you're going to earn less(0.0036 a day minus electricity) than a signature campaign while having more lectricity

Hi,

I want to start mining. I dont mind what kind of coin or hardware. Just the most proiffitble.
Whats the best coin/hardware combination? around 150$?

Why not start with some cheap Antminers S3. You should be able to get a PSU and S3. I started with some scrypt miners but learned the most about mining, mining pools etc. with my little scrypt asics.

With BTC up I thought it would do more.  But it appears S3 is still around 100 bucks, and add a PSU ontop it would be close to OP's budget.

Only thing we don't know is his electricity.  What is your electricity cost? once we know that we can do more as far as ROI math.

To answer to your question: I think an Antminer s3 with a normal PSU would fit your budget and the coin would be of course bitcoin although the basis for mining most profitable coin should also be taken this into consideration that depending on the price of electricity on your area, it can turn out not to be profitable to mine at all

Electricity is going to be big.  You can get a  idea of ROI with the following site: https://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/calculator .  You will need to know your electricity price though.

S3's you can underclock and make quieter but there is still some noise to be aware of noise/heat.  You need some place to put it  where this is acceptable.
