The issue is that daily measures are very sensible to being heavily affected by post/thread deletion, where more posts can be deleted than created on a given day, rendering a negative number of created posts, or lowering the real number of created posts toll.

Even if you take this on a larger scale to try to minimize this effect, it may not always clear the picture. For example, the Chinese local board has a record of 11 net negative number month value of created posts (monthly reading - https://public.tableau.com/shared/63RSPTF3S?:display_count=yes&:origin=viz_share_link). The reason strives in the heavy deletion from the Main default board, the Altcoin board and the 山寨币 board (can’t make out what it means).

The root of it all is that counting the number of posts using the forum stats (current or archieved) will always render the net count (created – deleted – moved), without there being a way to dissociate them on the stats themselves. One would need to try to control that through alternative external methods (data scrapping involved) which seems an overly task to do, and pretty impossible to perform retrospectively.

Besides German mistake, there is also Chinese and Indian mistake. It's not 0 posts per day.

In august Chinese Local Board has 224 posts / 31 days = 7.23 posts per day

Indian board has 293 posts / 31 days (aug) = 9.45 posts per day
I don't know how DTalk scrapped and get data, but it seems OP did not solve deleted posts, that in turn caused total post counts of the second week equal to first week (results in 0 total new post), or even are lower if new posts made between week 1 and week 2 is lower than total deleted posts (results in negative total new posts)

Besides German mistake instead of 48 post per day they have 79 posts per day!

There is also Chinese and Indian mistake. It's not 0 posts per day.

In august Chinese Local Board has 224 posts / 31 days = 7.23 posts per day

Indian board has 293 posts / 31 days (aug) = 9.45 posts per day

I will report more accurate statistic for other countries in the future.

I'm a little bit surprised about the small number of posts in local boards. I'm active on the German local board and I've the impression that there are much more posts per day.

I would do a broader range but I have thought to do something else. I will take another 3 days data for 3 more times in the coming weeks, different days from this time. With this combination, I will update this thread to get a conclusion.
Looking forward to it. Would it also be possible to make up to 7 days (one week) to get an impression of the difference between Monday-Friday and Saturday + Sunday and add the number of post per day? Like that:

                28.08.19     28.08.19     29.08.19     29.08.19     31.08.19     31.08.19     Daily Average
Arabic32314xx (posts per day)32338xx32366xx13
Indonesian1041791xx10414871xx1042000xx52.25

I know it's very time consuming but the community would appreciate it for sure.  Wink
And I will share it on the German board.  Smiley

You are right. The German Local Board has more than 2400 posts in August. That's almost 80 posts per day!
This 3 day statistic can't be accurate. Only 48 posts instead of 80 per day. That's almost double.

I also found some other things which are not so accurate.

Excellent! Do you have plans to keep your threads update on daily basis?
If yes, I will support by making further analysis with your data you dump daily, will start doing this after your datapoints surpass 20 (20 days).
If you can add a statistics on daily merit circulated in boards, per day, it will be much interesting.
I want to have another topic for my collection, if I can get regularly updated data from your thread.

Good work, but a narrow range analysis gives wrong results, especially within 3 days.
Also, there are some factors that need to be considered such as Merit analysis, Mod activity, number of active users will determine the data more accurately.
Also, some data, such as ANN & bounty section of Altcoin boards, should be excluded from the ratios.
It would not be possible since I'm not a pro scraper. I have little knowledge on data sraping but not enough to scrape what you are asking.

Your daily average is wrong: it's 3 days, but you divided the number of posts by 4.
Have taken 31st August instead of 30th because I didn't get any archived data for 30th.
Sample has been taken from 3 individual dates but data range is 4 days, broken down by Ddmrddmr already.

Skandinavisk- Which country does it refer to? Sweden, Norway, and Denmark?
Skandinavisk(scandinavia)is an area in Northern Europe, and this area covers the lands of Denmark, Sweden and Norway and it could also include Finland and Iceland in a broader/wider region(Nordic countries).

Skandinavisk(scandinavia)can also be referred to as the Scandinavian peninsula
You can read more about it here: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scandinavia

Interesting, though the duration is short.  I was wondering what is happening in the Chinese board.  Is the deletion of more than 200 posts happening on a daily basis or only special for this particular range of dates?
There is a pretty big clean-up taking place over on the Chinese Local Board, that has been going for some months (see https://public.tableau.com/shared/63RSPTF3S?:display_count=yes&:origin=viz_share_link). Most Net post count is negative recently, with a large focus on Altcoins and the Main board (this latter could be moving threads to their proper childboards).

<...>
It depends on exactly at what time he got each reading: If all readings are taken at the same time each day, it would be 3. If first reading is early on the 28/08/2019 and last reading late on the 31/08/2019 then it is close to 4. Maybe OP can clarify.

With this combination, I will update this thread to get a conclusion. However, I believe the result will not be much distanced other than Chinese and Romania. Chinese got a significant amounts of post deleted within 28th August to 31st.
The same happened with the Indian board as well. They got 10 posts deleted within these days. Other than these local, the result will be same I believe.

A three day window is a wee bit small to draw conclusions really. A broader timerange may seem more fitting. One thing that I’ve pondered lately is the weight of the local altcoin board on each of the Local Boards. More often than not, it is still a heavyweight subsection on each Local Board, and responsible for a large part of the created posts in a given Local Board.

I keep track of the number of net (*) posts created per month on Local Boards, with monthly data for each, broken down by first level of childboards within. For example, the Local Spanish board (see https://public.tableau.com/shared/3X239NMSF?:display_count=yes&:origin=viz_share_link) still has around 44% of posts made in the Altcoin board. Considering a five month period (data that goes back to the end of 2017, but for simplicity, I've filtered the above link to 5 month's worth of data).

(*) Net posts = created – deleted – moved.

Negative values, such as the -234,5 in your data come from posts/threads that are deleted. Every now and then, mods seem to perform a large purge on posts/threads, and the number of posts for a given month decreases instead of increases, sometimes in pretty steep values.

<…> Skandinavisk- Which country does it refer to? Sweden, Norway, and Denmark?
All three I believe.
