You are too sensitive. If you just easily ignored it then no such thing as argument happen between you and your friend. As long as they seeing you getting benefits from involving in bitcoin regularly then just let them come to you soon to seek for advice. No need to push them.

Let those haters just hate. You know crypto more than them. You understand crypto more than them. You can't please everyone even telling them the fundamentals, advantages, and benefits of using bitcoin.

Why should we deal on them? Waste of time.

Fully digested Sir, absolute waste of time and energy......

Why exactly 300 meters!!  Grin

You can't just ignore everyone you disagree with. You have to continue the debate you started and try to convince him and show him that his claims are wrong (this is your duty as a crypto enthusiast and a true Bitcoin believer).

Yes am a believer of cryptocurrency and Bitcoin but can take the risk of convincing this friend before he do. Although we are going to be friend with limit and boundary, I mean it when I say 300meters.

Exactly sir, am tired of living with a close minded person I called a friend to the detriment of my future and that of my unborn children. He's too close minded sir, and at this junction must run away from him 300 meters in order for me to live my full life I wanted to live while in college.

Hey. You can be friends with a person without sharing the same opinions. While it would be better if you had the same opinions on things, it's normal if you don't. That's how life works. I'd rather have a few friends that I disagree on rather than not. I definitely wouldn't want to be in an echo chamber.

I think it's not worth to pay much attention to words of haters. Usually they have initial bad opinion just because of lack of knowledge about crypto. They just heard something negative about crypto from news media, governments or banks and this is how they opinion formed.
Time will prove who was right. I suggest to wait some time and remind to haters about their words after few years. Most likely they will start to regret about their words. And you will feel satisfaction because you was right.

Listen to a hater and you're likely to start an unending debate. Have you asked your friend if he invested to crypto's or ICO's before and then suddenly that coin plunged to zero and that made him think that cryptos are scam?

I'm done with those people, friend or not that keeps on telling something bad about crypto. It's their opinion and I don't care what they are saying, I'm just minding my own business if its regarding crypto.

Most crypto haters are nocoiners which where missing to buy BTC and they are pissed now that they didn't buy it / keep saying it's a scam when prices goes down and are quiet when it's rising. Always the same story. The best move for them would be to read information about crypto by themself and they would understand how great the opportunities are.  Wink

Maybe they will get it later that they were wrong (yes, unlikely  Cheesy) but it shouldn't be our problem. We are the positive ones, not the haters. Haters go to hell.  Tongue

I am not really sure why you need the approval of your friend or enemy, since you are calling him both, when it comes to cryptocurrency.
Cant you be friends when one of you is pro and the other is against crypto?
Some of the friends I hang out with dont give a damn about bitcoin but that is not a reason not to be friends with them.

I feel you, it gets stressful sometimes but you can't really win an argument with people who don't see what you are seeing. You just have to show them that cryptocurrency is real.

Never argue with a person who only gets his information in the mainstream media or just some popular belief running around because you will just waste your time arguing on a close minded person.....

While definitely a lot of cryptocurrencies are scams, If a certain friend or person in general told you that bitcoin is going to die, show them this: https://99bitcoins.com/bitcoin-obituaries/

It'll shut them up hopefully.

Take note that there's a difference between a "hater" and a person that's simply uninformed/uneducated though, so careful with your words there. Your friend might just be the latter type. Try educating him with his criticisms if you can.
Thanks for the link above as it's Lauder with more facts about Bitcoin.

My friend is a graduate, we graduated from the same college but never want to upgrade his mental faculty, most especially inline of technologies. He's a good writer but never wanted to believe in technologies, I will discard him as a friend because he will not contribute meaningfully to my life technologically.

(Replying to your topic title), I don't believe in that saying instead here's is a qoute I live by "Keep your friend close but keep your enemies closer".
He's my friend but speak like an enemy, most of the time spent with him in the college are mostly disadvantage to my liken but still keep him as friend. I have read about this technology and have interest on it, here he come again with his feeble excuses to keep me distance from my dreams, he is my enemy although called him a friend.

Been enslaved for a long time is enough for the world government to give us the needed freedom we deserve, we have seen the freedom in Bitcoin and cryptocurrency, so, let us be and let them control the fiats and enslave the fiat holders.

I will not listen to anybody outside here and will solely follow some good suggestions from this forum to educate myself the  more to confuse them.

Bitcoin FTW!
Most of the people I know that are extremely negative or somewhat negative towards Bitcoin and/or cryptocurrency in general are also nocoiners and don't hold anything in crypto, while I've made what I would consider a fortune in cryptocurrency over the years. I've tried arguing with some of these people in the past, but some people are just very stubborn and aren't willing to change their opinions on anything, and I've since largely stopped trying to convince such people otherwise. Sucks for them, because BTC and crypto as a whole presents an opportunity like no other that people are just disregarding.

I am not sure which part of your post is the quote you mentioned that you found on the internet, is it the part
Quote
There will be crypto...
For your own safety put the quote you copied from an other source in proper quote tags and add the link to it as well. You are not claiming that you wrote it, and that is good, but to be 100% safe it doesn't hurt to add the source as well.

Its not a news from any source but some random reply on FaceBook but can't find it.
Haven it been quoted now, is there any offense? Because I can't find it, although if it come up again I will do.

I have tried it before and every rebut I made was just  a “dumb argument” for him. The best way to prove them wrong is to have a successful life because of your crypto investments, watch them emvy you when you upload what things you can buy with the money you have earned in crypto.

(Replying to your topic title), I don't believe in that saying instead here's is a qoute I live by "Keep your friend close but keep your enemies closer". Those haters you speak off can be classified as enemies of bitcoin (cryptocurrency in general). Let's take the most recent hater (enemie) as an example, As a Bitcoin enthusiast what message comes into you mind from President Donald Trump's tweet, mine was, he declared bitcoin wasn't a currency simple because it can't be regulated (no news there), that's to prove they (the government) can't control it which goes to show all the government want to do, is to have control over your money so they can detect your every move.

Haters (enemies) of bitcoin tend to show the flaw which helps developers perfect the technology and when they do show what they presume to be flaws but instead it's what make bitcoin special, not like any other currency in humans history. It indicates to me that I'm on the right track. I don't stay away from bitcoin haters instead I bring them closer, try to understand why they hate the technology, offer them help in understanding what bitcoin is all about.

Don't advicing everyone to do this though since some individuals are easily influence by other, the level at which you should keep them close or far should depends on your capacity to stand strong on what you believe in.

Few days ago a friend of mine asked me about the latest news in cryptocurrency and was able to point out the tweet from the US Prudent, then he told me that; the Blockchain is the true transparency while cryptocurrency is a scam, that, it will end in some few years from now and I argued with him and was later angry of his comments, just surfing the INTERNET now and found this  quote. This quote have calm me down and focus. Never you listen to the words of the haters and believe what you believed.

Quote
"There will be crypto...its just there will be vastly fewer coins all with real world use case scenarios

It's like the plethora of websites when the internet first went mainstream...many of them shut down and the wild west mentality gave way to the regulation to protect consumers from scams...crypto will follow a similar path

Of course those that know how to do so still access the wild west via dark web and crypto will have an underworld all it's own once regulation makes it palatable to mainstream audiences"

Edited.
