Well for mining I'd just go with another card unless we're going back to the ETH glory days where everyone was getting whatever they could get their hands on since everything's extremely profitable.
At the moment all non-memory intensive gpu minable coins are being raped by ASICs/FPGAs
Now I am forced to choose those video cards that can be quickly sold to gamers.
The ASICs stole a lot of coins.
The profit is unfortunately unstable.
The RTX 3060 video card was a very good all-round solution that works in any conditions, even without good ventilation.

Looks likes another brain fart by Nvidia: release a 12G 3060 with only 8G 4060. The 3060 12G is also priced higher than the 4060 8G.
There's no reason to upgrade from 3000 to 4000 but a few really good ones not to.

I have a regular 2K monitor and 6 GB of video memory is enough for games. I'm sure Steam shows honest data every month. And the 8 GB RTX 3060 video card and its modifications should serve gamers for a very long time. Therefore, Nvidia is reducing the supply of gaming GPUs to its partners.

If you look at the popularity of the GTX 1060 and RTX 2060, then the RTX 3060 will be very popular in 3 years.

if nvidia keeps being retarded and puts 8 gigs of vram on their 5060/5060tis then yes. Although I am pretty positive the stats are vastly inflated by the GPU miners who gave up after ethereum went POS. The second hand market was insane at the end of 2022. So many 30XX cards for sale and the IT guys here were buying the 3060s higher than 3060tis because of the 12gb vram, then they would sell used/refurbished prebuilts to kids.
