ive been using there GHS service since i started mining through there pools, half the bitcoin i earn i buy GHS with otherhalf either is put away or converted to usd then delt with accordingly, ive had no such issues, although at random ill double in hash for a moment (10 mins) then go back but nothing that is affecting anything for me. So not sure your frustrations or anything because ive had no issues for over a month

Same as 713kaos for me mostly, I have been using CEX.IO for a while now, and the GHS worker speed can move around a bit, but the payouts are normal and regular, so it is easy to reinvest.  Maintenance is linked to luck and lots of other factors, it has been high some days, lower on other.  CEX.IO support has said they are working to lower their maintenance costs also, makes sense for any cloud mining to do this.  Advantage of exchange and trading, good pool and support is worth the maintenance fee costs in my mind.  Wink

Check out your payouts and maintenance fee deductions for 27 - 28 June and see if they've ripped you off as well.

To see the that go to your balance page at bottom you'll see a Download CSV button ... download it and open it with excel or whatever spreadsheet program you've got, scroll down to the end of 27 and start of 28 you'll see 0 mining income and fees still going out ... Check the size of the payouts on the 28th ... are the same amount as normal or much larger ? If they are larger, then you've been lucky and did get compensated, if they are the same size as normal or smaller, then you've been ripped off too.

The maintenance fees they deduct are ludicrous ... They claim it should be about 30% of total earnings .... BOLLOCKS ... It's over 40% and often 50%

They state that in the case of an outage or planned stoppage they will fairly compensate for the lost earnings ... THEY LIE

When the service is resumed the overall hash rate is increased proportionally e.g. if you have 100Ghs and the outage is one hour your hash goes up to 200Ghs for a short period of time ... Sound fair ? ... Here's what they don't tell you.

If you don't solve a block during the time the hash rate is increased ... TOUGH SHIT you don't get compensated AND cex will have continued to deduct maintenance fees !!

This happened to me recently at midnight on 27 June cex was down for a period of 8 hours, when it resumed there was a corresponding increase in hash rate to compensate for the 8 hour outage.

At first they claimed it couldn't be fixed because it was the weekend and we all needed to wait until Monday ... REALLY ?
This is 24/7 365 business but only on mon - fri !

Then they claimed it had been fixed and compensation had been paid ... IT HADN'T ... they lied

I raised a case with support and after a lot of waffle they once again said it had been fixed and I could check my account details to see it ... So I did ... GUESS WHAT ?

THEY LIED AGAIN ... The balance wasn't changed or altered in anyway.

I'm not the only person this has happened to either, their forum is littered with people complaining ... Correction ... Make that complaining until cex see it and remove it and ban the poster from the forum !!

I have mining contracts with Cointerra and with Genesis Mining ... My plan was this ... all earnings from cointerra are invested into Genesis Mining then all earnings from Genesis would be invested into cex

cex because they are lifetime contract shares was going to be my long term investment into mining, but not anymore, they are to unreliable, the outages are all to frequent and as I said good luck getting the compensation the say ... Next there fees are outrageously high ... They are right up there in ultimate ripoff status.

They are seriously crap at customer support ... They remind of microsoft way back in the bad old days ... for those of you old enough to remember ... They give the microsoft answer to questions ... technically correct but totally useless.

Anyway, it's not a problem for me any longer I sold everything I had invested with cex and have reinvested it all into Genesis Mining.

So if you want an experience just like mine ... go ahead stick your hard won BTC into cex

I'm still stunned at how little CEX think of their customers ... the people prepared to give them money

My advice is really simple ... Don't go there, steer clear, avoid at all cost ... www.genesis-mining.com is a much better deal

Why?  What did they do to you to make you so unhappy?
