The stock market and Bitcoin will be able to exist together if the ETF is adopted. Then many brokers will be able to offer a service for investing money in Bitcoin.

Well starts from the basic though and yes you need or you must have a right amount of knowledge so you would know the ups and downs of crpyo market , and if the supply and demand is at the lowest the price of bitcoin itself will gradually decrease and if the supply and demand is at the highest the price of bitcoin is expected.

It depends on the individual involved. I think there is a bit difference between the two. Bitcoin can be bought and sold instantly but stock is not same. Though the knowledge of stock can help once ability to trade on bitcoin

The stock market and bitcoin trading are practically similar to others. We have an investor in this project, it is commonplace in the trading market. People are looking at the phenomenal entrance of the crisis in the foreign exchange market.
You are right trading is the same but there are some differences between stock exchange and bitcoin investment. In stock market you have more investment options and every coin is not bitcoin. Second difference is legalization. Stock market is legal and bitcoin is still not allowed in many countries. It will take time to be accepted in the whole world. Both needs skills to make profit from trading.

The concepts from stock market are applicable for trading Bitcoin ? Or I have to study crypto market specifically?

The concept of trading in both market are the same. The exchange is based on law of supply and demand. The differences are mainly on the platform, stock market is based on the actual company while on the other are based on cryptocurrency. Some says that crypto are more volatile compare to stock market but I would say that they are both volatile and market movement are fluctuating. They are also driven by market emotion.
Here is a relation between stock market with other cryptocurrencies and the Bitcoin, we see that with sudden changes in the market of Bitcoin affect the other cryptocurrencies including the stock market which go together with Bitcoin but this is the perception of some experts. Experts say that these similarities will change with the passage of time but it is true that these are having similarities.
Bitcoin is also an investment like stock market. You will have to observe both to be successful trader in the future. There is just a little bit difference in bitcoin and stock market and that is stock market is run by the government and bitcoin is decentralized and the government has nothing to do with it. Bitcoin is more risky than stock exchange.

The coins are kept in stock when it is understood that the price of Bitcoin will increase in the market. Bitcoin can be sold at this price. This resulted in more profits.

is like a normal trading, but the different is crypto market are bit slow to doing trade so need a full concentration to analyze it then the normal asset market

Crypto are not regulated market and stockt market is regulated one. The rise may be limited in stock market but little safer than crypto. In crypto earning could range anywhere as we have seen how quickly last year market went till 18k. So profit can be huge but risky as well.
That is just basically the main difference here and one reason why it is more volatile than the stock market as a whole. However, I believe with the institutions getting in and this space being a regulated one even though still decentralized, the behavior would end up being more like a stock market behavior. We may not see that yet in a higher perspective, but I am sure with time, things would change as we start seeing a more matured market that is being driven more by real demand and not just pure speculations without any much use for what it was innovated for.

There are many places where the stock market and bitcoin exchanges meet, but the basic difference is that bitcoin can be traded all day long without a day off. And there is no limit to the rise in bitcoin, as long as there is demand for it.

They two are a very perspective, as always it is the only personal decision of what to start. Everyone is looking only for the good profit in the future so it is personal the decision what to do.

As what I've seen in some YouTube tutorials, both stock market and crypto exchange are pretty much the same, the only thing different I've noticed in crypto trading is the price of it are very fast moving, it may suddenly pump or dump.

Hmmm… I think there is a bit similarity to the both markets. But to understand cryptocurrency better, you will have to study the market and know how it works and everything about it. If you jump in with the experience you had in trading stocks you might just be ending up in loss. So it will be better for your to study the crypto market and understand it better.

The basic trading strategy with stock markets could verily apply to trading with crypti currencies. But the trend reads and speculations greatly differ from each other because the factors moving the prices of both are in themselves different. It takes a while to really see a good investment, but studying does really payoff.

Off course they all are the same and you dont have to mix up the things only at one point, the way price movement occurs and depends on various factors is completely different for both of the markets. I mean crypto is very much volatile as compared to the stocks and stocks are very much slow at its movement! It can take ages for them to move up and down. On the other hand crypto market is far too sensitive and keeps moving up and down all the time. So we can have great deals here as compared to the stocks.  Cheesy

just like any other trading. only here that makes bitcoin so different is its fluctuating price, so its price changes so fast and will never stabilize.

quite like the stock market when it comes to when and where to invest. But the trend can never be predicted and prices can never be controlled.  Crypto trading is very risky very volatile but can give you high returns within a short period of time.

In my opinion, crypto is easier in comparison to stocks. Those who are already doing in stocks can do wonders here. Most of the investment strategies are same, you have to buy when other are selling in panic. Again, you have to look at the history of the project in both cases before investing.

Return wise, we all know that crypto is 100 time better than stock market.

Many of the concepts of the stock market can be applied to trading bitcoins, but now there are many differences between the bitcoin market and the mature stock market. Bitcoin is an immature and highly volatile market with huge risks. Of course, it is likely to get a huge profit. I don't think you can analyze bitcoin in the same way when investing.

The stock market and bitcoin share characteristic like in the way they respond to market demands. However there is a major difference between the stock market and bitcoin. That is the fact that the stock market is regulated by government by controlling inflation while bitcoin is not regulated hence the extreme volatile nature of bitcoin. And getting into buying of stock for a novice can be difficult because you have to employ the services of a broker. While for the bitcoin investor, all he/she needs is an andriod phone,  then buy it, hodl until it appreciate then sell. Besides bitcoin has a larger market because of it's global acceptance.

I think the price movement system is the same as the stock market, where supply and demand are influential here, but what distinguishes it is in the bitcoin market there is no profit sharing term for the company we hold its shares, in the profit bitcoin resulting from the difference between selling and buying.

I tried Forex market and crypto market.
In the Forex, you always must have enough money available in order to cover your loses in the market.
In the crypto market, you can just wait that price increase again, and do nothing.
I really like crpto market much more than Forex or regular stock market.
Also, in the stock market you have mostly financial institutions and big banks.
Here, you have average people, like you and me Smiley

I think there is nothing that can apply to Bitcoins other than the new that hovers Around ..
Bitcoins is not something that you need to predict because you can't .. its dependent on investors and the government actions this is what I think, others might think it's an entirely different issue.

But you should learn about the blockchain technology and stuff that is something thats important if you are into starting something with it.
It is true that the changes bitcoin could experience is indefinite and unpredictable. But it does not mean that we could not analyze bitcoin possible movement of its price and its transaction in the market because we can. We all know that trading has a lot in common with stock market wherein the basic principle is to always follow the trend of the price of bitcoin which result by the movement of the stock of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.

well basically, yes they have the same platforms, they both runs on the buying and selling, investors earn and lose with the same principles. yet in bitcoin, the market price is more unstable and unpredictable that it is more risky that stock market, bitcoin has higher volatility because it is digitally based and no international barriers, it has wider market than stocks.

between the stock market and cryptocurrency tu have similarities but crypto is much more risky because the fluctuating price can change at any time and it does need more knowledge because anything can happen here
Stock market is more risky investment because if you invest in long term Bitcoin will make big profit in future. But if you invest in Stock market we don't predict the future possibilities this will make loss also in next year. So we decide our destination then research our best way finally pick the right platform. It is the proper way to invest in anything. But some peoples are expecting quick profit in short time it is impossible in Bitcoin.

There is a similarity in bitcoin and stock market  because they have the essence of trading something for the money of course and also it is about the timing as well. But, In cryptocurrency you should study the market price not in the way like stock market. Because it is more volatile than stock market and in stock market once the price decreases for sure it will be hard to increase.

the biggest difference from both of them is volatility because as far as i know stock market don't have it

Every market experiences volatility. In traditional markets frequent up and down movements of 2% are also volatility, and some even dare to call 3-4% swings extreme, which is something we in the crypto world laugh about or even completely ignore due to how 'normal' they are. People here complain about how the market is slow when it's just moving up or down with 1 or 2%, while institutions only need 0.05% gains to optimally profit from the market.

Everything is the same, it's just that the crypto market needs to mature in its entirety to become something like what Gold is today. It will happen, but allow it to develop and catch up. Nothing in the world happens overnight, and especially not when it comes to something fundamentally this groundbreaking. Just look at the internet, it's still not done growing after more than two decades. Wink

Even though the idea is just the same, tgey have different application when it comes to actual trading here in crypto. One of the factors that makes crypto more complicated is because of price fluctuation, or should we say it sways a lot compared to stock exchange. In the end because of the difference you still need to study how it process.

The concepts are basically the same, because the bitcoin market acts the same like the stocks market, the main thing that you should be taking into consideration in the bitcoin market that you won't take in the stocks market is that there are some strong forces that lead the price's movements, and that's the reason bitcoin's investments are much riskier then regular stocks investment.
On the other hand you can take advantage of the market by comparing the price of the exchange that you stands on to other exchanges, a thing that doesn't exist in the regular stocks  market.

I think If you are a newbie you need to study the cryptocurrency and you need also study the rules of the forum. Price movements in stocks one of them is influenced by the performance of other companies.  Checking and studying of the graph of the market
Whether it is stock market or crypto one, you need to grab enough knowledge before jumping into any of these markets. Even if you cannot understand the technical things in detail, no worries but learn what is important for survival in the market. Well with respect to the performance of these two markets, crypto has edge over stock market and that too mostly because of bitcoin.

Those who are saying that stock market and bitcoin trading is the same thing actually has no clue how differently both works. It is true that few of basic principles are followed but not all. Yes you need to study Crypto currency specifically, but not too much if you have lots of experience with Stock market. You need to learn the differences here, cause what we are dealing with is actually a currency (although nobody see it that way). You are not buying shares, you are buying money and then sell it.
In financial markets, each asset affects each other's values, especially for the cryptocurrency market, the effect is huge from other markets such as stock and forex. The market is too small so it is easily affected by the developments of other markets. Bitcoin, after listing on the world's exchanges, is also affected by the stock market.

Imho, while the principles are the same, there's one big difference: crypto market is not regulated.
The result is that pump and dumps or other forms of market manipulation is still there and can burn you.

Yes you have a valid analysis. It is not regulated and so anything can happen which are not expected. And this is dangerous for a crypto trader.

On the contrary therefore, a company not listed in the stock exchange can't just get to the market and no dump is seen. The regulation is very high in stock because it is watched by the government.

I've tried applying all the chart patterns that I have learned on Bitcoin and end up being on the wrong side of the trade most of the time. Bitcoin is just too volatile to anticipate its next move. I think it's good for mid to long term trading, for those who really like Bitcoin.

It's not about it being too volatile, it's about it not following TA as closely. You can see it going by the book when it reaches the top of the slope or double top and it always goes by the book after a double bottom, head and shoulders and all those well known patterns. It's also easy to find resistances on the charts. The hardest part with BTC is knowing which move is going to be a trap because what looks like a bear trap may get negative news or FUD while it unfolds and turn into a full scale correction. You just never know because there's this news aspect.

One pretty huge difference that if someone does not take note of can really make things not to go well. Trading the cryptocurrency market requires a lot of attention and smart decisions knowing the level at which this market can really suck up someone's fund if care is not taken. The market is known for a high level of volatility and a 247 running market that is decentralized, and all these are factors to always take into consideration before trading this market.
Aside from that it is really complicated in the stock market, so hard to predict the price movement we are just relying how our economic movement unlike in bitcoin where in it can pump and dump from time to time where in we can make a profit.

Imho, while the principles are the same, there's one big difference: crypto market is not regulated.
The result is that pump and dumps or other forms of market manipulation is still there and can burn you.

Stock market is a regulated unlike bitcoin which is yet to be regulated
Regulation alone will not differentiate these two markets for any trader here. I guess all bitcoin trader must have experienced stocks trading or at least forex trading. The common essence of analysis must be same across all types of trading.

Keep in mind that Bitcoin trade tends to be more risky because the price is more unstable than the other two markets, but Bitcoin's potential is much greater than both.

Exactly because of Bitcoin's potential it's important for the majority of the people to stick to a long term investment, and not bust themselves trading the volatility. If the regular person already struggles with trading stock markets, how are they supposed to trade Bitcoin's market? That's why it's important for people to acknowledge their disadvantage as a small fish in this market, and for that reason only focus on the long term. If we look back at Bitcoin's performance throughout the years, then a long term investment is the least risk involving option. Seriously, people have only been losing with trading, why not just suck up your pride and realistically recalculate the situation? Investing for the long term involves no stress and drama, what more do people want?

The concepts from stock market are applicable for trading Bitcoin ? Or I have to study crypto market specifically?
Stocks as securities traded on the stock market where the person who is the shareholder will get a chance to get a dividend and capital gain (the profit we make when selling the stock is higher than the purchase price). The acquisition of capital gains is what usually makes people think that buying and selling Bitcoin and stocks because they profit from the difference in selling price with the price when they buy Bitcoin.

Price movements in stocks one of them is influenced by the performance of companies such as increase / decrease in profit and sales, dividends, or news spread in the community about the state of the company. In the world of Bitcoin, unit prices are also strongly influenced by the same thing: increasing and decreasing demand, as well as the press circulating in the community.

The crypto market is something else then the stock market because in the crypto you don't have so much governmental regulations, no manipulation of the same select group, the evolution of the market is related to the projects and the list goes on.

Stock market and Bitcoin trading is almost similar to its other. We have investor on the said project, it is globally accepted in the trading market. People look into the phenomenal entry of crypto currency market as its posted on ICO somewhere in 2008 by Satoshi. Decentralized transaction on trading of Bitcoin with out the use FIAT or paper trail give more room for investor to transact business easy and effective. Once the issues on Banned,Scammer,Regulation are address we can see the better participation of global market on crypto currency,This is the alternative way of investment and the possible future safe and fast business transaction which is soon to be adopted globally.
Pretty similar and depending on the strategy you have been using, one can basically use about the same strategy in trading stocks to trading the cryptocurrency market. It is important however to always do this with some extra caution with the rate of volatility of the market but for someone who has been trading stocks, I want to believe he should be able to handle himself well.

Finally here in cryptos that some altcoins are more like penny stocks and it is necessary to be careful which also works similar to stock markets. When it comes to trading part, stocks and cryptos have nothing different including requirement of capital and percentage of returns to gain with them.

Of course the concepts are applicable and I would say that of the stock market are much more deeper than what is applicable here in that aside from the obvious inside information that could be relied upon before taking some risky decision in the stock market, a lot of number crunching and trend establishments are needed before making some stock decisions. But over here its not like that, an average internet user can make some decisions and hit it big coupled with the availability of bots that can make it a lot more easier.

Despite the above, there is also a room of something to learn in that while there are similarities in both markets, there are also some pure differences which is not in any way related to text books, softwares, analysis, graphs etc but just information, risks without basis, buy and not look back, ICOs without the iota of success and a whole lot of factors that contribute to either success or failure in this market.

The general principles of investing still applies.

However, I think that it's different to the stock market. Stocks produce dividends, while bitcoin obviously does not. Bitcoin is a currency, while stocks are securities in a company. Two different things, but as I said, the same set of rules with investing in general, especially for the long term, applies to the crypto market.

Bitcoin is a long-term store of value, as well as an asset. So the approach here is completely different to stock market trading. Of course, you could day trade BTC like a speculative tool, but I think the most attractive aspect of BTC is still in the long term ability to hold value.

I would definitely familiarize with the crypto market before making any moves in it, including studying why BTC makes sense on an economic scale.

I think this will help you if what investment you will choose stock market or Bitcoin, here are the things that they are alike. They have the same profit-making capacity. Investing stock markets it requires a lot of patience as making a considerable amount of profit on your investment. It is a slow process and might take a few years. While Bitcoin is famous for its volatile nature as there are massive swing in its value, and this takes within a small period of time. In terms of Global reach Bitcoins have no borders as they are accepted in over 180 countries worldwide. Bitcoin is global in nature and easily transferable with incredibly low transaction fees. On oppose to this many traditional investments require formal accreditation. Limited to qualify institutional buyers, there is an invite high trading fees. By supply Bitcoin it can never be created beyond 21 million in number. Since it has a limited supply, the more users of Bitcoin it will have a steady rise in demand for Bitcoins. On the contrary there is no such limitation imposed in the share markets which ensure a predictable trend between demand and supply. In terms of risk they are the same in the case of the share market. It is all base on demand and supply. The difference is stock market is safe because government backing. While Bitcoin belong to decentralized network. When it comes to trade stock markets take away considerable amount of investment as trading charges, brokerage charges, taxes, etc. To start trading on the stock market, if it’s convenient to you, you have to find a registered broker to start a demat account. On the contrary, buying Bitcoin is lucrative, with its minimal transaction fees. These transactions are clean, fast, transparent and non-reversible transactions. All you need is a Bitcoin wallet and ensure you give the right wallet addresses while trading.

The basic is almost the same, the chart the trading analysis indicator also can be used in crypto market, the different are crypto are more fluctuative because it's decentralized, not like crypto market that can limit the lost, and then the factor for the crypto price movement are supply and demand while in stock there politic and economic and rumours news that can shake the price, I personally think crypto will give more profit but it is more risky and if you trade an alt coin beware of the whale that can control the price

There are many places where the stock market and bitcoin exchanges meet, but the basic difference is that bitcoin can be traded all day long without a day off. And there is no limit to the rise in bitcoin, as long as there is demand for it.
Stock markets could technically allow 24/7 trading to happen as well, which isn't all that difficult since everything is automated already. But I do somewhat like that stock markets close.

It gives the markets rest and time to think in case they need it, while with the crypto market there is no time to rest or think. If it's going down then it does so hard, and the same applies to when it goes up. It's one crazy market.

Also, individual stocks can keep going up endlessly as well, but their growth is purely based on the underlying value, which is the company itself. Google has the potential to keep rising due to their dominance.

Basically everything we do is based on Google and stored on their servers, which is somewhat of a scary thought, but that makes them one of the few businesses being able to keep rising endlessly with how the internet grows.

I've tried applying all the chart patterns that I have learned on Bitcoin and end up being on the wrong side of the trade most of the time. Bitcoin is just too volatile to anticipate its next move. I think it's good for mid to long term trading, for those who really like Bitcoin.

For me, it looks much the same. Both crypto currencies and stock markets deal with different companies that changes prices depending in the market and government movements and natural disasters. Only thing it you're actually dealing with a more simple creature in crypto currencies. Since crypto is decentralized and is not owned and controlled by governments or or big companies.

I agree with Hydrogen. Precious metals speculation/trading would probably be a better comparison to draw for crypto trading. Stocks in the real economy depend on business decisions, earning reports, stuff like that. Bitcoin doesn't give out dividends. That's why precious metals is a better comparison, in my opinion.

Some analysis tools can definitely be transferred from stocks to crypto trading, as well as indices.

Crypto is entirely unique, however, and you definitely need to do some research before you invest anything into it. But honestly, if you're inexperienced, but you stand for the concepts BTC is based on, your best bet is most likely to hold for the long term. It cancels out all the short term noise, and since BTC is a store of value and hedge against inflation, if adoption rates climb which is very likely, BTC will continue to go up in the long run.

Unlike stocks and foreign exchange transactions, encryption currency against any government regulation, it can be all-weather traded at any time in the whole world, is not like the stock and foreign exchange in the time of the day to deal so the digital currency is more unstable. The price of digital money depends mainly on demand and supply!

Although there are some similarities between the principle of Bitcoin/cryptocurrency market and stock market because the price are both depends on the supply and demand, there are still a lot of things that makes them different like, in cryptocurrency market prices move faster than stock market so this makes cryptocurrency more riskier but can give more profit to investors/traders. Another things is the manipulation, cryptocurrencies are still on its early age and there are lots of coin that is coming up that has low trading volume which can easily be manipulated by big investors and the market is global, in stock market this is very minimal to happen because it is regulated by the government of a specific country where it is operating.

And non-regulation causes many risks. If the "bubble" of bitcoin bursts, the stock market will collapse after it. And vice versa: if a recession starts in the market, investors will panic and will sell bitcoin. Last year, money followed the indicators. As soon as there was a jump in volatility, there was a great demand for liquidity. I believe that as soon as the crypto-currency markets become more regulated, some risks will go down.

And another important thing is that while the stock market doesn't really change more than - let's say 10% - and 10% means A LOT, a 10% change in crypto markets is not really a big deal and it happens pretty often.

as far as I know right now, buying and selling using bitcoin equals buying and selling stocks because they can both benefit from the difference between the selling price and the purchase price.
Price movements that occur in stock one of them will be greatly influenced by the results of the company's performance. For example, such as an increase or decrease in profits and sales, dividends or news can also be large that will affect the company. in the bitcoin world for the price of its unit will only be affected by the same thing, namely the increase and decrease in demand and press circulating widely in the community. you can still remember when there was a case that happened because of bad news about the fatal mistake in the management process of Mt. Gox, consequently bitcoin prices even dropped. in my opinion from the conclusion of all this is not said different, even almost 99% the same.

There is a lot more volatility in crypto markets compared to stocks.  Also, for the most part and with some pretty minor exceptions... bitcoin markets are hardly regulated.  There are hundreds of tiny exchanges and any of them could disappear in an instant along with many coins.  But mainly, there are large exchanges that are used more frequently and are safer.

And a huge dynamic to consider is how much all coin values are --still-- tied to the value of bitcoin.  This is due to the overall liquidity of bitcoin to fiat and the lesser liquidity of other coins.  That is, if you have altcoin-X and want fiat you usually have to convert to bitcoin first although there are more options today than there were in the past.  Ethereum is one alternative option.  However, market confidence still follows bitcoin value.

The concept of FOREX trading is not differ from Crypto trading. In fact, these two both trading industry have similarities in using graphs, Technical Analysis and transaction. The only difference for me is that, bitcoin is more volatile than in FOREX. It's price rapidly can move up in just a couple of hours. I think also that crypto trading is more profitable than Stock Market.

Actually the Forex market  is volatile as well but the volatility of Bitcoin is really crazy. The OP seems he is familiar trading stocks and he can take advantage of Bitcoins volatility. Also because of the volatility in this market you can earn 10x more profit (possibly more) in the crypto currency market if you compare it in the stock market.

Now the pump and dumps issue. Stocks has been the market for a while and very big whales are already in this market for a while. With crypto I think whales are fewer in this market.

For the topic Yes there is a lot of similarities when trading stock market and trading Crypto currency but  Forex trading is actually more similar.

Technical analysis is the same but it may surprise you that only a few people who trade in crypto uses technical analysis.

I think you just need to study which coins are worth it to buy.

Bitcoins is not something that you need to predict because you can't .. its dependent on investors and the government actions this is what I think, others might think it's an entirely different issue.

But you should learn about the blockchain technology and stuff that is something thats important if you are into starting something with it.

The similarities i guess that you play the game the same way. Since crypto currency trading is structured much more like stocks. There is also trends to look for, projections, and others to look into. But not like in stock, we have a specific value  not points for our exchanges.

The concepts from stock market are applicable for trading Bitcoin ? Or I have to study crypto market specifically?

Some basic principles of stock market trading apply to bitcoin and crypto currency trading. There are major differences between the two, however. Quarterly earnings reports, projected earnings, P/E ratio, dark pools and HFT high speed algorithmic trading, etcetera.

Gold, silver and precious metal trading could be a better fit for learning to trade crypto. Although it must be acknowledged that there are many aspects of bitcoin and crypto which are unique and can't be compared to precious metals, equities or commodities trading.

The best strategy for trading crypto could be long term buy and hold. Especially with crypto that is undervalued. Buying and holding crypto before the value of bitcoin increases almost guarantees profits of some type. The worst time to buy is before bitcoin declines as that tends to drag down the value of all other crypto with it. Bitcoin's price rising and falling could be one of the best and most difficult variables in timing trades.
