Listen, I was trading in forex, and I can say that cryptocurrency has been and remains the most volatile currency and in three years of trading on forex I have never worked with crypto. It would be very profitable for me, but there is simply colossal risk and I prefer stable passive income. I studied the basics of trading a lot and making money quickly is a very bad idea ... If you are a beginner then it will be difficult for you in the beginning and I personally would advise you to read the forex trading course. There is a lot of useful information and it will help you develop as a trader and make as few mistakes as possible at the initial stage.

I also trade both, but for me there is a big difference.
Crypto is mcuh more volatile and less for long term (except bitcoin). Most of the cryptos you buy, you think they will boom and go x5 or more. That is (almost) never the case for stocks. For stocks, I think more long term and try to make picks to have a diversied portfolio.

I do trade both of them simultaneously and I think there is no different in strategy, unless I have to go to different site to see some fundamental factor but technically they are not different. I use the same startegy like support and demand, trend line, fibbonacci and another tool even I use the same platform to make an analyst in trading view.

Even, I learn about all technical analyst just in some forex youtube channel because they give me a learning from the beginner. But I never try to trade in stock, I still comfortable to trade forex and crypto currency maybe later I will try it. You may need to try first, most of forex's broker give you a demo account so as you don't need to deposit first to try.

I'm a stock trader that came to crypto trading. They are to large extent same. Crypto trading has much more freedom to traders.
The only good thing about trading stocks is you could have a look at the quarterly reports from the companies and plan your strategy accordingly. You'd have a slight idea where the price would be heading as everyone else. The chances of stock price crashing are very low. With low I means nearly impossible if you are giving some time to research.
While the crypto market is much more unpredictable as they (mostly) don't provide bonuses and dividend and neither publish their performance records.

I want to know what thoughts you guys have about differenty type of traders.
We all know that there are some similarities when you trade forex/stock to cryptocurrency. But I want to know the differences on it.

Does it means, when you totally well known to trade Forex/Stock, does trading cryptocurrency will also be the same?
Like if you owing in Forex/Stocks, you should also do the same with cryptocurrency?

Because I saw some trader that they started to trade forex/stocks and tried to trade cryptocurrency, but some of them are keep losing to trade in cryptocurrency.

What are your thoughts?
Trading mechanism works same on every trading methods but the fundamental gets changes to each other, when it comes to trading forrex the values are going to be somewhat very stable so you can make less profits by trading them with huge amount and while you trading stocks the thing is similar but the volatility is bit higher than forex.Whereas in cryptos the volatility is a lot huge and highly unpredictable so the day trading becomes like a gambling action even the one who trade cryptos for years are uncertain about their actions.

The rules on every trading is the same, especially on Technical analysis so you can really trade at any market considering the skills that you have in trading.

At first, you need to familiarize yourself on a trading market you are with, and you can really have the same strategies that will depend on the market situation. There’s a lot of opportunities in the market, traders should took advantage of that and use their gift to earn more.

I think that same strategy you’re using in forex trading can be applied to cryptocurrency trading as well. The reason why those people failed to succeed in cryptocurrency trading is because they felt the stock and crypto markets were the same thing, but they are not exactly the same thing, there are some ways that they are different, and traders needs to know the differences despite that it’s not much, but those little differences can cause you to lose. Apart from that, I don’t really think there is any other thing that’s going to make them lose.

The advantage of forex market is its wide establishment for decades unlike crypto markets which makes it highly impossible for manipulation unlike how crypto market is being suffered by whales. When more people will be joining crypto markets then we can expect that crypto markets will be manipulation-resistant as well.

I'm a stock and cryptocurrency trader and there is really huge differences, when it comes to trading of cryptocurrency;
(....)
Can you share your experience related with profits or losses you already encountered on trading of cryptocurrency and stock/forex?
Like for example you already lost a lot with cryptocurrency compare on stocks, or vice versa.
And also, if you will be given a particular amount of money to trade, which one will you choose to trade on? On cryptocurrency or stocks?
In terms of gains, cryptocurrencies is much better because there are some exchanges offering future markets where they have leverages. In our local stock market, there is no leverage and there is also no short positions which means that in order to make gains is only by going long position. My biggest gain in stock market is 50%, it is called a ceiling price in stock market which means a stock can only go up within 50%. Unlike in cryptocurrencies there is no ceiling price where its price can go up as much as it can go.

When I trade local stocks, my time frame is daily and weekly so I do not use any intraday charts like minutes and hourly chart. My strategies in stock market depends on the current movement of our index. For those who do not know what is index, it is generally a market portfolio where it is represents a financial market. Our index represent the whole local market and my decisions and strategies base on it. For example if the index is consolidating then my strategies will most likely be a swing trade but if there is a momentum then I will becomea breakout trader. When it comes to losses and risk, I can handle more in stock market because I'm used to it. I also have a having hard time when it comes to using leverage and it is the reason why I experienced wipeout in my portfolio before. If you will ask me if I have more money, I plan to open account on global markets which I will mainly focus indices especially the DJIA and S&P 500 because it is the indices that is current trending.

I'm a stock and cryptocurrency trader and there is really huge differences, when it comes to trading of cryptocurrency; I can do it anytime because it is 24/7 which means that the market is always moving. In stocks, the time is limited because there is a schedule on it like market opening, lunch and market closing. When it comes to volatility the difference is minimal so I can say that both of them are volatile. The trading strategies that I applying in stock market is the same with the strategy that I applying in cryptocurrency market.
Time is factor and it is important to consider; our local stock market opens at 9:00 am and it will close at 1:00 because there is still pandemic but the normal schedule is it really close at 3:30 pm. It is better to trade cryptocurrencies or forex if you have busy schedule because of its convenient which is it can trade 24 hours in a week. Stock market are also closed when there is holiday and if it is weekend while both forex and cryptocurrency market can trade even weekends and even if there is holiday.

There is not much difference from forex trading with cryptocurrency trading, therefore forex traders will usually try crypto trading.
But because crypto trading has high volatility it makes forex traders keep losing when trying to trade cryptocurrency. Indeed, that is
the most prominent difference, but if you practice more, you can certainly master the volatility in cryptocurrency. And take advantage
of volatile crypto prices to generate big profits. Another difference in forex / stocks is very much influenced by the economic situation
world, whereas crypto is not. It can be seen from the current pandemic that forex / stocks have experienced a drastic decline in the
market. Whereas cryptocurrency only went down for a while, then now the crypto price keeps going up.

I do swing trading and I know that there are many traders who have lost money trading cryptocurrencies.
Crypto trading is highly volatile and unpredictable which makes it difficult for stock traders to adjust to it and hence they lose their money.
I started trading with cryptocurrencies and then moved towards stock which made it easy for me to understand both the markets.
I did lose money in the beginning of crypto trading but I have covered all my losses and I am exploring the stock market these days.
Both of them have their differences and similarities. I think crypto market is better than stock since it runs 24x7 and doesn't restrict anybody from trading.
Volatility will really be the main thing that you will really noticed when you are a stock or forex trader and suddenly jump into crypto market. Its not really that hard to adjust but you can really tell the difference.
Im also a forex trader but when i tried crypto then you can really tell that movement isnt the same.It can swing on bigger percentage that you havent tried on a traditional market.
Also in other arrangements as well like cashing out where forex/stocks are heavily centralized which means you would need to comply some KYC and other stuffs which is
totally opposite when you are here on crypto and thats the thing i do like about.

Like you have said, the both of them are similar in so many ways, but there are differences and when traders don’t understand those differences, they are prone to lose their money from trading in that particular business. If you have been trading forex/stock before you discovered cryptocurrency, same strategy might apply, but you still have to understand the cryptocurrency market and how it works, because how it works is not the same way as how the forex/stock market works.

Due to decentralized environments, we are facing lots of advantages and inconveniences in crypto markets at a same time. If high volatility is one of your inconveniences, it may get eliminated over the time when more people will be adopting cryptocurrencies.

Probably crypto's derivative market is exact similar to forex markets except decentralization part.

I am enjoying crypto trading all 7 days in a week and any time I prefer but when some regulations will be happening, I guess these things may disappear Roll Eyes.

The main difference generally will be on the price movement and the thing had been traded. Cryptocurrencies known to be unregulated whereas opposite into Fiat currencies/Stocks.

when it comes to holding then its just on similar concept because both do rely neither it would take-off or slump depending on what coin or stocks you are investing into.

In mention of losing then its just the same but we know the risk is higher in crypto due to volatility or price movement.

I would say it should be more like "stock trader and forex/crypto trader" because in reality stock and forex has a lot of difference whereas crypto and forex does feel a lot more similar considering crypto is also currency and in forex you are trading currency as well so basically crypto trading is forex trading, forex literally means foreign exchange in short so crypto is foreign to you as well, and you exchange it, so crypto trading IS LITERALLY FOREX.

However stock is not like that, there is a company that is tied to that stock and when you trade it, meaning buy it or sell it, you are buying a part of that company or sell it, which means you are basically putting all of your money into a company and not into any money or currency. That is why I think stock is different than the other two.

Since this is question is completely based on personal opinion I would say that they are totally different!

Different in many ways. The core difference is their Nature of Regulations

I mean both of them are not getting same attention by the public as one would get. Lets say, forex/stocks is more or less based on some reserve fundings, public funds, government investments are also included in this. This make it very very stagnant to move up and down, thus making it investments for longer terms with few exceptions.

This is not the case with cryptocurrency. They decentralised, free to move with any amount of transaction and there is only one backbone for this, whale investors!
No government, no back ups so its more volatile and can move upside down at any tipping point!

Both can not be implemented with same strategy of TRADING. Consider them different always!

I think to trade forex/stock and crypto will not be the same, and if you thoroughly know about forex and you want to try to trade cryptocurrency, you need to learn about crypto trading so that you can have a new experience.

There's differences in terms of behaviors but in the way of you execute the trades it's almost the same, if you know how to trade forex you can also apply that knowledge trading crypto, there are only similarities in placing your trade but in terms of anticipating the outcome, there are many influenced that you need to note out, you have to be more keen in learning the key factors both ways, it's your chance to make a good outcome of your trades.
Placing your trade will have similarities, but the method to analyze will be different. You can not use the analysis from forex trading to crypto trading because the pattern will not be the same, and it is more difficult to find out. But you might get an idea of analysis of the crypto trading since, in the crypto trading, you will see many potential coins that can give you the chance to make money.

Sometimes, people who are trading in the forex trading will think that crypto trading will be the same as forex trading, but it is not and if they don't learn more about crypto trading, they will losing their money in the crypto trading itself.
Volatilities and manipulations are always different between this two venues of trading, you need to work well with crypto.
If you are uncareful, for sure you will lose your position and lose your investment.
If you can see the change from the price's volatilities, you can get the opportunity to buy and sell, and no matter if there is manipulation, you will still have your time to buy and sell, and even you will make a profit from crypto trading. You need to learn more and more, and that is for both crypto trading and forex trading.

Been into crypto trading for years now but still I am not that confident to enter forex/stocks trading. My two brothers are into forex trading for so many months now, it is not what we are expecting like crypto trading. Since then, I am into gaining more wisdom and not yet really confident enough in forex trading.

Though they have simarities like how we use technical analysis, fundamental, etc. But stocks trading is more complicated, need a broker and has a minimum amount of money/fund before you'll start.

Imo, the biggest difference between stocks trading and crypto trading is the lack of factors that could help you predict market movement. In Crypto(Bitcoin), most of what we actually base on are actually "baseless" since the core which is Bitcoin is actually not controlled by anyone. This makes it's growth uncontrollable to an extent. Stocks on the other hand, can be quite constant and mose price changes that happen are actually seen not in the short term but in the long term. Especially when a company announces certain stuff, you can guarantee that it's stock would increase by some amount. It's like in stocks, you have some sort of backing that you can fall upon when trading and predicting but in Crypto, you still have the same backing, but it's like closer to water or something transparent that changes quickly. These are based on what I know though, so maybe false on a few areas.

As they always say "the higher the risk, the higher the reward" IMO, cryptocurrency's volatility is more riskier than other markets.
How so? Previously, I heard forex traders say crypto market were much easier to trade in.
Well, it might be easy for them but we're talking about the risk. I assume, these traders would rather say it's easy because If you're basically just holding Btc like 4 to 5 years ago you'd definitely have like 1000% profit by now.
If cryptocurrency is much easier than foreign currency trading, they should've shift to crypto already, since there are brokerage that's open for both trading assets.
But then again, I'm no expert  Cheesy If you may want to share your idea why some forex traders find it easier to trade forex than crypto, Id be happy to hear that.
Let's like reverse the scenario here;
What if a trader will start to trade cryptocurrency then after that, he/she will start to trade stocks/forex? Which is much difficult? Started to trade with forex/stocks or started with cryptocurrency?
If volatility is the problem here, we all know cryptocurrency is the most volatile among the others.
That's why I tried to ask these kind of scenarios, I am planning to try forex/stocks someday.

Its just the same IMHO! They do only differ on market price movement but talking the whole thing on how to trade then its just similar but if you are a forex trader and tried to switch up to crypto then the first thing
you would surely notice is that the price is way too volatile but in exchange it is more profitable if the price do favor on what you had predicted which means chances of making more money is high here on cryptocurrency market but same goes on the risk involved. Also crypto isnt a regulated market which is opposite from forex but since we do talk about trading behavior then i can say that if you are trading well in forex then
it would have a significant relevance or does give out advantage if you do jump into crypto market but there would be surely big changes on analysis yet price movement would never ever be the same.

The only difference that I can see is on how it will be looked as if you are a trader from forex/stock because cryptomarket is a whole different game, if they do approach it just like what they are doing with the stock then they will get a hard time learning how to utilize it, it will be easy for them otherwise. Volatility is the main concern here, we all know that the volatility of these two market is different on which the crypto market has a higher volatility than stocks. But then as being a trader, especially when you are a experienced one I think they will get how the market works easily, I haven't traded stocks fully yet but I think the terms are completely similar to each other.

There are several similarities between all three markets. The one that strikes most is the use of technical analysis to predict / measure the market. The reason why some stock / forex trader might be failing in the crypto market could be that they do not understand how the crypto market works. It's a little different from other markets as the volatility levels is above the roof.  I only know the basics of forex market but the little I know says it's not as volatile as crypto market. The same goes to forex market.

As they always say "the higher the risk, the higher the reward" IMO, cryptocurrency's volatility is more riskier than other markets.

Compare rates on different exchanges & swap.
They are basically similar in the sense that they involve price prediction or betting on price. I guess in all three you can buy & sell for short-term profits, exchange one currency/stock for another, hold for longterm gains, have similar charts for trading etc.
Learning to trading either of them first is like learning to ride a two wheeled transportation machine like bicycle. If you learn to ride bicycle, riding different kinds of two-wheeled motorcycles become a bit familiar and easy

What are your thoughts?

Me myself ain't an expert trader, but I just purely base on what I have noticed and yeah they are similarly a buy and sell platform called trading.
But, they do have different :
* Level of liquidity - Forex has more traders than the other market. Thus, traders can buy or sell huge volumes of currency.
* Volatility - Obviously, cryptocurrency is far more volatile in nature than other markets, and this is where the trader's risk tolerance are measured.
*Getting influenced by fundamental news/ real world events - As a major example is the current pandemic which made a devastating downturn in the stock market, while cryptocurrency quickly recovered and seems unaffected by the crisis.

I guess with these 3 differences alone, we can identify why some certain traders from different market who tried cryptocurrency are experiencing losses.
As they always say "the higher the risk, the higher the reward" IMO, cryptocurrency's volatility is more riskier than other markets.

Not at all. It's like starting a restaurant vs starting a phone accessories store. While there are overlapping similarities in how to run a business, not because you can succeed at one it doesn't automatically mean you're going to succeed at both.

Both are different assets in different industries with different levels of liquidity and definitely different levels of volatility.

Normally, trading itself is very risky, that is why we need to follow appropriate rules in order not to lose, some people are new to trading but believe in luck, not patient, have greeds and do not know anything about market at all,  such people lose. But, if properly learned, experience traders are gaining be it crypto, stock or forex.

Like if you owing in Forex/Stocks, you should also do the same with cryptocurrency?
They are similar but not the same, especially forex is very different from crypto trading, you will have to learn all differently. Because you know how to trade crypto does not mean you will get all about forex but you will have little idea. But I chose one because of concentration.

What are your thoughts?
I will advise new traders or those that want to learn to be patient very well, learn all about trading. Like me, I prefer cryptotrading but crypto market is very volatile but I still trade to gain. After learning, no matter what you know about any trading types, you will lose because of lack of experience, that is why it is good to use lowest amount you can use to trade to trade at the time. After many unsuccssful trades, you will have experience and not losing like before and resulting to gain, then, you can increase your trading capital.

No God or Kings, only BITCOIN.
I can't tell the difference since honestly I haven't traded on stocks but I think it has to do with the volatility of crypto market though there's a volatility also on stocks market too but I think crypto has huge volatility and the difference on how the market is, stocks is huge crypto is not so big swings is likely to crypto. Volatility is good for both markets but I think it has to do with the timing as well, when to sell, when to buy and when to be neutral. Are they that experts on the field of stock market?
