I'm confused,is your forum account stolen or just the user-name ?  Roll Eyes Mind linking to the profile/account ?

I suggest you to forget about it because Theymos and Cyrus will never read private messages from you, my friends even routinely send them both messages for weeks but never replied.

Yes because recovering forum accounts is one of the least priorities of the forum and they'd still consider recovering your account if you are a quality contributor or someone who makes a difference being there on the forum.

What about hilariousandco?

He too is a global moderator and I have sent him a PM before and replied within minutes. Try sending it to him.
Just wait a bit and the admins will respond. While this is a serious issue, they too have a lot on their hands managing the forum.

That makes sense, but we're talking about security/trust issues here. Now if the admin/people in charge don't care about the forum security, well yeah, you're right and I can forget about it. If I were in charge I would care about those issues. Bottomline I just feel fooled and I don't like getting screwed, so I'm going to try anything to get back what belongs to me.

Does your account have old BTC addresses posted? If yes, then you could create a signed message from those addresses and PM a moderator of this forum. If they see substantial evidence to support that you have owned the account, I am sure that they will give it back to you.

Funny thing is that the account hasn't been logged into for almost 2 weeks now.

Thanks for the tip and the answer!

As for proof of real user, just the language and the topics discussed by this guy are more than enough to prove that it wasn't me haha...

Gonna give a try now!

Still, it can't really prove that that was your account. Anyone could create another account and claim that it was theirs. Signed messages are the minimum you can do, maybe emails from bitcointalk to your email address can be another form, but don't count on it.

Yeah, it's what I did, I contacted an admin giving him informations that only I have access to (and hopefully the archives of the forum). Well, in my case it's pretty obvious that my account was stolen, change of email address (after 4 years...), the guy commented on some altcoin topic that has nothing to do with my previous activities (ICOs). He changed everything, deleted signature etc etc.... And if that's not enough the change of language, pretty obvious when you read my 240 posts and his 2 posts.

Hopefully an admin or someone in charge will help out.

Thanks for your answer though!

Hi everyone,

Just noticed (coming back from vacations) that my username (drumamat) got stolen and this piece of #%:t is using it right here (commenting on some scam coin ico on top of that...). My profile is something like 4 years old.

How can I get back my account? Who should I contact?

Thanks so much for your help, feeling kinda upset!
