Well, you can still invest on some altcoin but at least the your portfolio should be like more than half on bitcoin, just saying.

This is actually called a diversed crypto portfolio. If we are talking real portfolio ratios, 25% should be in fiat, 25% in Bitcoin 25% in altcoins and 25% in land or some medium risk legacy investments. Altcoins have the highest gains and risks.

There's nothing good as diversification in the world of cryptocurrency because of the risk that's involved either in investment and in trade. Last year i lost some reasonable profits from some coins because i refused diversification of portfolio and ended at lost. Your portfolio rations are pretty much exciting as i assume that will yield more profit at the end.

I agree in terms of there will not be a 'next Bitcoin'. This is a bit of a marketing gimmick used to lure in newbies. It's sad because a lot of the newbies seem to be those looking for a 'get rich quick' Cryptocurrency rather than embracing the technology and building solutions/products on top of it.

Always better to plan and make a good mindset, diverting your assets always bring good things whenever you have good knowledge bad understanding, stop chasing something that still speculative but rather focus from something which is already been offered, always make right assumptions and be ready to add patience.

Here I see many people think that investing in bitcoin is the best thing, but what about the other altcoins? like Ethereum ripple etc.

I see a lot of the potential that coin coins have and provide big profit opportunities, moreover they have gained high trust from investors.

I always hold BItcoin more than 50% of my capital, simply for long term investment. I agree to stop chasing the next bull run without a knowledge because it will just put us on a big fall again. Let's learn from big mistakes in the past when everyone joined the hype and then became fear.

People ared desparate and having seen the way bitcoin turned so many people to millionaires overnight, they are now on the look out for a coin that will pump very high like bitcoin. But then we should understand bitcoin got to the height it got to because of its extra ordinary ideology. There is no coin having the kind of potentials bitcoin has. Just invest in bitcoin and relax and stop looking for the next bitcoin.

People are chasing the next bitcoin because they feel they can invest in a coin that has little value currently and then later pump in price like bitcoin without really investigating to know if the particular coin has even half the potentials bitcoin has. Bitcoin should be your priority every now and then.

Lol, this is so true. I urge everyone to really put the majority of your investments on bitcoin to avoid getting REKT in the future. Well, you can still invest on some altcoin but at least the your portfolio should be like more than half on bitcoin, just saying.

Why this is true? Each and every one of us is here for different reasons. Some of us are not for making direct profit and we support projects due to their technology and not they price. There is potential for many altcoins to grow in the future if the mass adoption is going t be brought in the front place and I am dedicated in making this happen.

Really true, a lot of altcoins are coming and many investors are temp to invest with the new one even if it is still fresh and new but still no assurance if the result of their investments. Be sure that once you invest with a coin, make sure that it is already tried and trusted just like bitcoin. 😊

There are zero coins out their worth your money but bitcoin

Although the % of the worthless coins is huge and growing, it's a little bigger than 0.
And I guess that somebody didn't check thoroughly if a coin is any good before investing, neither acknowledged that altcoins are way riskier investments than Bitcoin.

Edit: many simply dream of bigger benefits, forgetting about the higher risk, hence the disappointment.
Bitcoin is the best coin to be invest on. Depend on what altcoins to invest bitcoin will be a good choices to be hodl on. Yeah i do admit that the altcoins are almost has a very high risk compared to bitcoin but if one hit a high rises then it might be his day.. Dare to take a high risk for a loss and a gain.

I am agree with you. All of my investment turn into zero after investing in some shit-coin. Most of them are dead now. I regret investing on those coin instead of holding BTC.
Good thing you realized that. There are zero coins out their worth your money but bitcoin. In this world where people are ready to dump their bags of shitcoins which they tried experimenting with you have to be safe not to fall for their greedy traps. Investing takes a lot of preparation and any doing it properly will understand that the altcoins are all worth zero value altogether.

The market cap may be owned by them by a considerable extent with respect to bitcoin but we have seen what the bearish market does to them.

Then if that there is a coin that can surpass bitcoin that coins must have better concepts or technology
Stated that bitcoin gains its value as oldest and most trusted chain its hard for other coins to beat that, It hasnt have to be the tech or concepts but could also be a trust swing.

Yes, but at least if one coin wants to beat bitcoin, then that coin must have more benefits than what bitcoin has. We don't know because until now bitcoin still the strong coin and bitcoin still lead the cryptocurrency so we can say that it will be too hard for the other coin to beat bitcoin. I think we need to chase the next coins to be the next bitcoin because bitcoin already becomes the best coin in cryptocurrency.

It's a fact many investors chase altcoins as they were going to be the next bitcoin because they lost the trend and it's also a fact many developers or promoters use it in their own favor to sell their altcoins and grow themselves in the crypto market.
Some time ago a friend of mine told he was going to buy a very unrecognized altcoin because it was going to fight bitcoin for the podium of crypto currency, then I asked him, who told you this? He said: the developer, I'm in contact with him through whatsapp. Roll Eyes
No problem with altcoins, but people need to be more realistic about them.

I fully agree that when it comes to cryptocurrency investing, nothing can be safer and more lucrative than doing it with Bitcoin. In fact, institutional fund managers are betting more with Bitcoin compared to other popular alts so the future is really here. As to alts, there are also good picks on there and there is nothing wrong to also diversify one's portfolio. Right now, there is a big cup of coffee being brewed for Bitcoin and soon we can be drinking into that cup of profits and happiness.

investing on some crypto coins out there does not mean that you are chasing/looking for another bitcoin or or the next bitcoin  . the only  reason on why you invest on something else is because you wanted to earn extra profit aside from your current bitcoin investment but ive also seen a couple of threads saying that there is a coin that could potentially turn to be the next bitcoin but of course people wont easily believe on those claims because bitcoin is the only one and the original bitcoin  .

People who stopped chasing the next bitcoin missed out on altcoins that did over 100x return.  This will happen again and some of these new projects will wildly out perform bitcoin.  It is much easier to pump a low cap coin than it is to pump bitcoin.

Chasing altcoins that bask in glory for microseconds when they enter an exchange, isn't exactly my idea of "outperforming Bitcoin". Everyone starts at 0, but only bitcoin ever reached 18k. And someday it might even surpass that.

10 years later, bitcoin is still worth nearly 6000 USD. whats the closest one, BCH at 300 USD?

If you bought (or mined) bitcoins in 2010 for cents and sold them in December of 2017 for 19k, how is that inferior to an altcoin that barely reached 10 USD and then plummeted to cents for the rest of its life, with the ocasional pump making it go back to half a dollar for like 5 minutes or so?

Of course you cannot pump Bitcoin anymore, it is too costly. that is the whole point. It is going to be more and more stable with time, its working as designed.

You can still make money with altcoins, but it will never reach the legendary levels of Bitcoin. There is only 1 Bitcoin, and thousands of altcoins, of which only a few people might even remember their names.
