This doesn't seem outrageous for the religion of Islam. In most Islamic countries, they're openly against other religions. Changing your religion is seen as being against it. So it's not outrageous. Things like this happen everyday.

EDIT:

I assume if one of your parents was Muslim, then you're still fucked if you 'convert' to another religion.

Islam is not a religion, it's an ideological platform. Simplistically speaking, Islam has two faces, Meccan and Medinan. This PREGNANT lady has been given a Verdict by an Islamic court 100 Lashings and then she shall be hung. The Crime? Married a Christian and converted to christianity. Can anyone or an religion possibly support this and think that their God approves of this? Sorry to say this is by far one of the worst things i have seen from this religion.
