It's a bit shortsighted to think a state just has to take care of "security".
What about education, or taking care for the poor, or building infratructure, and many more things.

We've been always paying taxes without knowing, in the product price and in the shipping, unfortunately, that's how the world is.  Undecided

I'm actually okay with sales tax as long as it is being put to good use such as security to prevent theft and other crime.  The problem is that too much tax goes to paying for things that don't really help security such as administrative or poorly managed pension plans that cost too much.

What would be really nice is if there could be some way to fund security and justice systems with crypto currency.  Maybe then taxes could be lowered or altogether dismissed.

Most Ecommerce sites are already required to pay sales tax in the states in which their nexus lies (main HQ). Amazon among others have already started requiring customers to pay sales tax on most items. It is going to benefit people more than it is going to hurt them. Plus the business doesn't really have to pay the tax, it will be the customers paying the tax.
Why should the customers be paying this TAX instead of the retailers or the business owners and I kinda feel that too many taxes are being paid by customers just to get something.

Its called sales tax, and its meant to fund state governments. Its supposed to be paid by the customer, and it always has been in the United States. If you don't want to pay the sales tax, don't buy stuff. In a lot of states, essential items are exempted from sales tax and non essentials are subject to sales tax. Its not new by any means.

I don't know the law of your country. But here in Austria it is simple: if a business sells stuff (goods, services whatever) it has to pay tax for it - regardless if it was an online sale, or offline in store.
Depending on how much you make (and what you sold) you fall in to different tax groups.
"Private" people who sell a lot of stuff online (that's probably what you are referring to) in a professional manner - also have to pay tax, if their income surpasses a certain limit. I think it's about 10000 €/year.

BUT, I bet alot of people just don't declare their online sales correctly - hmm.

Personally, I think everyone doing business should pay appropriate taxes - that's how our system works. But it should be fair. If multi corps like google and co can use loopholes to reduce their tax pay, why should small companies and private people pay?

this is difficult to apply in my country. Many people who transact online (commerce) even though it is not a profession from both sides. How will it be taxed, while the trade documents must be owned until it can be claimed to pay taxes.

Governments are always finding ways to cheat the citizens. Taking taxes from online retailers are a huge cheat because these people already subscribe to internet service providers who already pay the taxes to the governments. Even the websites or platforms where the retails go on also pay the taxes so why take another tax from the retailer. That's a total cheat

Even here in India, the online retailers are complaining about hostile stand by the government. The shop-keepers are complaining that the online sales are having a negative impact on their revenue. But at the same time, they are not ready to lower their profit margins.

It is impossible, how the government will supervise if it is in my country. Small online merchants require face to face to make buying and selling transactions to be more reliable. Online media only for the introduction or appointment of goods and services only.

Taxes are meant for developments so if the intentions of the online tax collectors is to use it for development or upgrading their systems to provide better conditions of service for their clients then i think it calls for our support but if otherwise then there is need for it to  come to a halt immediately.

The reason why online sales hasn't been taxed long ago, is because of the stink that the people sent up regarding the idea.

Stop anything by threatening to remove your Congress people from office, if they go along with what you don't like. Don't vote for them if they fail you. Also, do what you can do by posting like you are. Also, get other people to do the same as you. Also, get rid of electronic voting, because it can be hacked, and most hand-counters are honest.

Taxation is something that most people don't agree with. The following video is about IRS taxes, but it applies to all other taxes, as well.

That need to be taxed the online trading application is not his merchant because his traders have spent money to buy internet quota package while the operators who provide internet network already pay taxes to the government.

So I just got an email from ebay telling me about a new law in the USA that is going through the system to allow individual states to tax online sales of small businesses this would really hurt a lot of people here as well as elsewhere. I'm sharing the link that ebay sent me to sign the petition to stop this injustice.
