No matter what method you adopt for trading, no strategy will work if you don't make yourself smart in market analysis. Make yourself smart in market analysis and spend more time in trading. No matter how smart you are at market analysis, you have to rely on luck. If you trade based on taralize concept then you will get some effective results. In this case you will get similar results from liquidity based trading and SMC. But I like to trade in all kinds of ways that are profitable. Because the trade is potential.

In my opinion, in this trading, apart from having to be smart at analyzing the market, there is also a luck factor too..., looking at your topic, it seems like you are experiencing liquidation in SMC, that's why you said stop trading SMC, it's a good idea to analyze the market first before trading on coinmarketcap. com or at coingecko.com

There are lots of contradictions in your post @OP, It must be the reason it has not been taken seriously.

I know SMC to be an effective strategy for those who really understand it like ICT, so I was expecting to read some concrete reasons behind the topic of this post. I must say I am disappointed by the content.
Focus on liquidity concepts if you want to improve your results.
Trading is broad, there are certainly more than one thing a trader who aims at profit should focus on. You can't suggest liquidity concept as the only important aspect to focus on in trading to improve results.

The whole idea behind SMC is to be a predator on the market alongside these smart money flowing, basically, so I don't understand what's wrong with that  Grin

You can't stop people not to trade their coins, if they have financial issues or they feel it's the right time to trade their coins to make income, there are many strategies people are using to maximize income in their trading, if you feel like using this SMC strategy to monitor the market price to get the right season to trade your coins, you can go ahead and start using it to accommodate income from trading, I will advice you to make use of strategy that will favour you in trading because once people discovered that your strategy is favouring you in the market, they will like to switch to such strategy to make income also because they joined the trading for income purpose.

But, but..... Liquidity concepts are part of SMC. You're actually contradicting yourself in the post by first telling people how great SMC is and deviating to say they shouldn't applied the concepts simply because it has similarities with support and resistance? If you're going to make an argument, you always need to back it up with cold hard facts. Even better, you should back it up with data of results from trading SMC vs support and resistance as cherry on top.

Why has no one commented on this message? It’s a truth, after all. I know there will always be those who will never change their minds because they are stubborn in their strategy
I saw your topic yesterday but you contradicted yourself. Let me quote it for you:

This is the title of your topic:

Stop trading SMC

This if the content of your topic:

SMC is a very powerful school of thought, very popular, and if you are someone who follows this school, you will be one of the millions of traders trading in the same way.
SMC is not different from the basic market structure that we all learned at the beginning, which is based on support and resistance.

So are you saying people should not trade with a very powerful school of thought, very popular, and if you are someone who follows this school, you will be one of the millions of traders trading in the same way?

People have the strategy because:

Quote
Basically, SMC states that market makers (i.e., banks, hedge funds, etc.) are manipulative entities, and that moreover, they are actively making life difficult for retail traders.

According to SMC, as a retail trader, you should base your strategy on what is happening with the "smart money" (i.e., the money belonging to market makers).

Indeed, you should try and pattern your trading off of how these market makers are trading. They are concerned with supply, demand, and market structure. So, as an SMC trader, that is also what you are looking at when making your own trade decisions.

So the traders want to act like banks and other institutions that uses the strategy to trade.

If you are talking about liquidity concept based trading, I've done it and I can testify that it does work, but so does SMC, i think you can always settle for both, I mean i know that sometime the big institutions are targeting SMC but sometime it also works you know. after all, trading is just betting on the probability, there's many ways you can make profit and I won't just settle with one strategy.

one think i've noticed with liquidity concept is that, it doesn't work when the market are overly bullish or overly bearish, the price just breakthrough any liquidity or supply zone.

It seems you didn't actually learn SMC it is not just based on support and resistance. SMC helps you identify the current price action that includes OB, FVG, BOS, CHoch and liquidity sweep. Without learning this strategy, you don't know the current price action and possible buying or selling opportunity.

If SMC does not work for you, then for me it works. What I can suggest to you is to learn a bit more about SMC and try to gain some experience and optimize it because its effectiveness depends on the user experience.

Maybe to support your argument, there should be some results. Like the win rate when someone focuses SMC vs Liquidity concepts. You simply can not tell people to stop using SMC if it's a working strategy for their trading style

I mean, look at the neutral tags you have on your profile. The clue is right there.

I know that many people here will take this message lightly, but it is the absolute truth.
SMC is a very powerful school of thought, very popular, and if you are someone who follows this school, you will be one of the millions of traders trading in the same way.
SMC is not different from the basic market structure that we all learned at the beginning, which is based on support and resistance.

Focus on liquidity concepts if you want to improve your results.

But everyone has their own opinion and everyone has their own strategy. Trading SMC doesn’t mean you won’t succeed.

You should know that in the markets, we are all competing against each other, and if you truly understand the liquidity structure, you will see that SMC is often preyed upon by large institutions, banks, etc.
