you can deposit all crypto  , but when you wanne withdraw it will be offline  .
everybody knows when deposit works withdraw also works  .
they scam us even more by holding the prices very low like dogecoin and ethereum classic .
check for youself .
they sell your crypto when pumps come and dont let you withdraw untill prices are low again  .
the internet is full with complaints  .
stay away there and spread the word .

Not sure why anyone would still use this exchange tbh.

They've had numerous complaints against them regarding this exact same issue in the past. Their KYC procedure is entirely excessive and unwarranted. No one should be subject to checks of this draconian magnitude, especially when HitBTC themselves is a shadily regulated exchange at best.

The Pharmacist raises a good point regarding HitBTC being the only exchange for some coins. I would personally just avoid these coins - if they lack substantial liquidity on other legitimate markets it would very rarely make a good investment anyhow.

Props to Coingecko for adding a warning to their page.

It's true that HitBTC is not the only exchange that does that and block withdrawals/freeze funds for made up reasons, but it certainly is the most popular shady exchange out there and would be nice to see them having their reputation tainted more publicly, maybe then we see less coins/tokens get listed there because of that, but then again many coins/tokens that are only listed on HitBTC and/or other scammy exchanges are scam/shady themselves so they will just move to another shitty exchange, but it certainly makes it harder for them.

It gets even worse when you realize that 95% or more of their indicated trading volume is fake and it's just their bots placing and filling their own orders to show some trading activity which simply isn't there.

The main problem is not in HitBTC exchange but scam cryptocurrencies that HitBTC listed.
Many people register with it due to insane rises in a particular shitcoin, so the person tries to register on the platform to achieve quick profits.

That's also on hitbtc for listing whatever coin that makes them profit hence, both parties are accountable. From what I've seen tho, it's is usually account related problems like frozen funds, KYC not being accepted, asking for way too much documents etc.... like what the barrage of complaints in their subreddit says rn (https://www.reddit.com/r/hitbtc/). and that's also on hitbtc for not having the capacity to accommodate the surge of users which they should've expected and for their shady practices

If anyone has time you can report hitbtc to CMC too with their subreddit/BCT threads and account as proof--preferably recent. If they have received enough reports, maybe we could see a warning sign like what they did to Extstock. The problem is we might need more amount than usual as I think they are a lot more lax to established exchanges.

The other reason is currency tracking sites (Coinmarketcap, Coingecko,..etc) that are not concerned with protecting people's money.

this makes sense, but the fact that there are many accusations that cannot be ignored. Most often there are always similar reasons, unable to withdraw and asking for additional KYC.
I think the reason why someone registers on exchange can't be an excuse for them to block his funds. In the end, we are all on exchange trying to make some profit, it doesn't matter which way trading or quick selling.
Due to the high withdrawal fee on this exchange, my decision is to do not to use them and these many accusations confirm my good choice.

Generally, if you do not make a quick search before depositing, you will learn from your loss of money.

People are reporting many withdrawal issues connected with 2FA resets and customers KYC from users, and this is not the only exchange with problems like that.
Yep, and I got scammed by them last month when I was unable to withdraw some Curecoin.  They slapped me with a KYC requirement that I wasn't willing to submit to (because who knows who they are or what they're going to do with my info).  Fortunately the amount involved wasn't substantial, so I just ate the loss and moved on--but they're scammers, no doubt.

It's nice to see Coingecko have a warning like that.  That's something Coinmarketcap ought to do as well.  I can't imagine HitBTC is pleased that there's a banner on Coingecko, so that'll either light a fire under their asses to do things right or it'll take business away from them.  Either way, it's a good thing the warning is there.

On a related note, I wish Curecoin's team would take HitBTC off their list of exchanges.  Look at this:

They're an obscure coin that I'm a fan of, but there are other coins as well that have scammy exchanges listed on their websites.  It drives me nuts when devs don't keep up on these things.

I heard many complains from people using HitBTC exchange but now we have confirmation from Coingecko website with their banner and with trust score alert.
People are reporting many withdrawal issues connected with 2FA resets and customers KYC from users, and this is not the only exchange with problems like that.
HitBTC exchange was also accused for scam many times before in bitcointalk forum and their forum profile is showing that they are doing the same shady thing for years.
