Thanks God, MTGOX is just a crap since the rise of it.

Last bubble where it went to 30, it had something to do with this. And this time, thanks MTGOX, we are back from 120 to 70, though i Have know that the pop will be big, but really if you guys would like MTGOX f up the community for the third  time with it's "dedicated" service with hilarious fee. Keep this shit on. Angry

The last time I traded on Mt Gox was mid 2011. Since then I use Intersango (BTC), and BTC-e for the other cryptocurrecies (LTC at the mo).

Yup stopped using as well. Step too far yesterday.
Their press release today just irritated me.

There are several exchanges,   I personally like http://www.CampBX.com

However the more diverse exchanges are out there the better...    the issue is volume.. if you have 10,000 bitcoins you want to buy or sell you have very limited choices.

I admit I have pegged my exchange rates on localbitcoins.com to MtGox's. Shame on me.   Embarrassed

Right now MtGox acts more and more like a central bank. It sets the price of Bitcoin. If it breaks, the price breaks too (goes down). And again people start talking about decentralized exchanges. We already have a lot of exchanges. Just start using them! Arbitrage traders/bots will do the rest.

Use alternative exchanges. Use LocalBitcoins.

It can not be that Bitcoin's decentralized beauty is compromised by a single exchange. We need alternatives for the benefit of all. Support them!

And one more: Do not keep your coins at any exchange.
