I have two 1070's in my desktop and when I want to play game I use the -d command to only select one card for mining.

Yes, you can stop a specific card from mining using most mining software.
It is easiest with claymore's miner. All you have to do is use the
Code:
 -di
command.

Lets say for example you have 3 cards, and you want to disable the 2nd card. All you have to do is:
Code:
 -di 02

And to run all 3 cards again:
Code:
 -di 012

Notice the numbers after the -di command. Those are your GPU index numbers.

Is there a way, you could, specifically reject shares from say a GTX970 .. or say a RX580 can't hash ..

Whether on an existing algorithim I'm assuming not but I'm interested.

Would it be possible to code such an algorithim ?
