I found it. The "storage.swf" was injected by the Firefox extension "pdfforge toolbar 5.0", installed by the open source "PDFCreator" from http://www.pdfforge.org/pdfcreator/ - it also did install the Firefox extension "Widgi Toolbar Platform 5.0" which seems to be used to implement toolbars like the "pdfforge toolbar". If I wasn't using "FlashBock" Firefox extension, I probably would never have discovered this strange "storage.swf".
Thank you & have a good night.

Oh, and flash cookies are nasty as most people don't even know they exist, thus don't clean them, and get tracked without even knowing.

I went to look at the page source and got a little worried when I saw storage.swf in the . But then I realized it was just there because of the topic title...

Try comparing your version of the source to unmodified source (gotten through a proxy) to see what else has changed. Extra info from that might help you find the problem.
The same exact thing happened to me when I was checking what the OP posted. Then I noticed where it was...

Bitcointalk doesn't load any file with that filename. Actually... it loads no flash objects.
So it's more than likely you either have a virus, or you are connecting through a proxy which is injecting this object into the page, OR... one of your browser add-ons / extensions is doing so.

What is this storage.swf hosted on Amazon Cloudfront that I find on so many websites including bitcointalk.org? Do I need to load this flash thingy or is it just Amazon spying on us?
