Sometimes I think exchanges will send their money to a brand new wallet combining all the BTC again.

I've been lurking here since early June and have be fascinated with Bitcoin. While watching the Bitcoin Monitor I noticed something very strange two weeks ago early Monday morning. I saw $9,000,000+ worth of coins float by between two blocks only. All were about 16K BTC transactions, two every 1 minute or so until the next block was created then it stopped.
I only bring this up because it was the first time I've seen such a thing in such a short time. Now with the recent news of lost coins, thefts, and the huge BTC sell off that is taking place this seems a little more than coincidence.

Perhaps this is business as usual and that I haven't been around long enough to know this. I don't know enough about block explorer to look in detail what happened but I am curious.
Someone has to have had some 600K BTC sitting somewhere as I don't think it is possible to transfer the same 16K multiple times between two blocks. Who has that much coin?

I wish I had taken screen shots. My math could be off as I am basing this from my memory. Hoping someone can enlighten me.

Anyhow, my first post. Smiley
