Nobody is insured! Everything can be and hackers are now enough! It's a shame if something happens

Bumping out 1 and half month thread isn't appropriate at all since OP didn't answered back through all the the answers and opinions being mentioned by community members above.Tendency on why the password is incorrect then the possible reasons that you might incorrectly type/forgot the exact password or just simply the wallet have been password changed and it can be easily accessed or be done specially when the wallet doesn't have any 2nd layer authentication like email.

Well I've had my password saved on my google chrome ever since I've created a wallet on blockchain.info and just enable email authentication and open that e-mail just on your phone. I've been doing that for a few years and never had any problem whatsoever.
While it may not (yet) have been a problem, that doesn't mean you won't ever be facing any problems, especially when your phone is connected to the same network your computer or laptop is connected to.

I personally use my mobile device (that's strictly operational for this purpose) on a 4G network in combination with Google authenticator. If you did the same, then you're on the right track except for the email part.

Best is to avoid authentication through email and use Google authenticator instead.

Need some spare btc for a new PC
For me, the best thing to do is to keep your password saved in Google Chrome, that way you don't have to worry about importing pass phrases all the time. You still have to log in through your email to verify that it's you.

That is a bad idea my friend. Firstly you should rather use a third party password and username manager. Then the thing is it is unsafe and you are risking losing alot if you catch malware or something. It is ok using for regular sites but I don't think it is a good idea for important info that involves your finance.
Rather use another way.

I would bet that you simply just typed in the password wrong.    I do it all the time when I'm in a hurry.

Just an advice, if you dont want use your phone as your wallet (coinomi app) you can download electrum and import your seed on it.
Just another bug from blockchain wallet and thats why i dont recommend you to store big ammount of coin on blockchain wallet. And this topic should be on "Web Wallets" section.

very strange things happens with my blockchain.info account
i know my password and i have the 16 word recovery phrase ... when i check it on https://blockchain.info/wallet/forgot-password?guid say the same password i know for my login
but when i will login my account blockchain info say: "Error decrypting wallet, please check that your password is correct" and i cant login
i dont undertand, please help, i lose my hard earned money
thanks

If you have your passphrase, don't freak out theres solution out there Wink Because with those words as they state it is a recovery phrase because from them you can easily generate private keys and through that claim the ownership of your funds. This is the key feature of blockchain.info because if they go offline or something it is possible to recover your coins. You can also imput these words into some other software wallet that has support for them.

Anyway simply go to this tool: https://coinomi.com/recovery-phrase-tool.html right click save page as and run it in offline environment, preferably if you can get some live OS for extra security as you don;t want to get your keys exposed by any chance. Later on you can sweep your coins to another wallet or import them to another wallet.

Hope this helps mate Smiley!

Good reply and very helpful. There is a setting in blockchain.info to import your privatekey the OP should try this and see if it works. It should otherwise the OP must come back here and we can decide what to do next though I won't really know what more you can do. For a noob it is difficult to understand these things at first. I hope the OP gets access to his wallet soon. OP let us know so we can help you more if needed.

The biggest disappointment of new users like me is when my trust is based on this kind of knowledge that often happens here and is very harmful ... hope there is still luck in your day ...
