Confirming that your signed message checks out. Good to hear that your account wasn't actually hacked!

Yes good to hear, but funny there was no reason to suspect it ever was, no evidence pointing towards that. My post in Lending said I would be happy to sign any message to any potential lender upon request...

I mean really...

Negative feedback already removed.
It's not funny,
I do not know why you are so wrong react. How do you react if someone real hack you account and take 1btc loan,
After all, the responsibility to remain in you. So you should thanks to everyone who took care of the security of your account Smiley

Yes and of course thank you for fixing that. Sorry I think a lot of it comes down to a matter of perspective, where I view 1 BTC as an insignifigant amount in terms of risk, I can, and realize I need to be more aware that in fact the amount is not what matters, so I hope there is no ill will between us. I understand the feedback, and certainly appreciate everyone making sure it was removed quickly.

Cheers!

OP already locked the loan request thread.  I would be interested in funding this loan for you if you are still looking.  If you are, please reopen the thread or post in my lending thread with a signed message from HRWh3ZpL4ZhGVCM2pS7W98isgoKNLVA4Vw.

Hi I realize this is way late, sorry been AFK for a bit. But no it worked out. The seller held the item with no deposit just based on promise to send payment in full later that week, and based on my trust, so it all worked out. I just didn't want to lose the item, and at that specific moment had no access to BTC in any easy way. But thank you! If the need ever arises again, I will keep you in mind Smiley

Cheers!

Hey Everyone,

Sorry, haven't been on much. I am selling my beach house, and have been helping Mom and Dad with my grandmother to top that... needless to say, I've been busy.

I do understand the "knee jerk" reaction, to a point- I guess I was rather surprised, having never (in I think 3 three years being a member on this forum) ever once asking for a loan of any amount, but all my BTC was either tied up, in trades, or in vaulted storage with time limits to release... long story, I needed a small (I think I asked for 1 BTC I'd have to check) which was just to put down a good faith deposit on an item I wanted to buy.

I posted the ad in the lending forum, went out to dinner, and checked back a bit later to find red feedback on my profile. So I was a bit upset.

Then.... long story short: I couldn't figure out which wallet I used like 2 years ago to "verify" to use to sign. So it was a bit of a hassle.

But I do understand. And I do think it's a good thing- especially with members in good standing/long term/default trust, those accounts should be carefully guarded by the community.

But perhaps - and this is just a though, rather than RED, which I think is viewed specifically as negative/beware... people who want to warn of potential hacked accounts, should use NEUTRAL feedback, until the situation has been worked out.

I appreciate of course everyone looking out for my account. My account is tied to a fairly consistent IP when I'm just working at home, and a specific proxy list if at work, and an EMAIL, and I have multiple BTC addresses linked, as well as transaction history in the PMs I could use to prove ownership with say Mods/Theymos, if it really came down to it.

I guess I was just a bit shocked to see multiple Red feedback, when I had simply inquired about "a possible 2 day loan" (which I didn't even need I just wanted to get the guy the deposit to hold the item - he held it on good faith so it all worked out).

Again, just food for thought, but perhaps Neutral is there for a reason, red specifically for negative/beware, Neutral, for well, "maybe", and green/positive for exactly that.

Just my take, but again, thanks to all, for looking out for my account, and sorry if I came off as brash or upset. I've been dealing with mortgage companies and real estate agents, etc etc, my stress was already high lol.

Cheers guys!

@Stratobitz: Its really good to see that you sorted this thing out. Next time if you request a loan include a signed message in the request thread.
Also if you have a valid collateral I can lend you without interest.

Ya, or in other words: what the hell is that? Sign a message properly. If you don't know how... Well who are we kidding, if you don't know how by the time you're a hero then this is a hacked account. But anyways look it up.

I got pm from stratobitz with request to be remove neg feedback, I can only repeat, I will kindly do it,
after see sign message  with old staked address(in any way- publicly or via pm)

He had posted an address on Sept 10th and other than that he has one (that I posted) from 2015. Obviously Sept 10th address means nothing because if he bought/hacked the account h would just post a new address.

So we wait for him to sign a message from:

1MXMjRGyEHUUC7UuTHEboS5poMAWx7vJqx

Or wait for OP to sign a message showing they're the original owner.

Creating a self-moderated loan request thread makes this request look shady to me.

Until a signed message is provided this account can be considered as a hacked one.
Stratobitz deleted this post of mine on his lending thread before locking it.

@Stratobitz: Why don't you sign a message from the staked address you posted? It would end all this as cpfreeplz suggested.

My account has not been hacked. I have reported this thread to the mods of this sub, and I have locked the request posted in Lending. I am happy to sign a message from the BTC address posted in the META, or the BTC which has been the same on my account for years, should they ask for it.

Mods, please review this thread and delete it, and the member who posted the OP should be removed.

Thanks for your help,

Strato

You've said that you can sign a message multiple times now. Just do it already. What is there to report? Prove you own the account then this will all be over for you. The more you beat around the bush the longer people will assume it's a hacked account.

TL;DR sign the message already. What are you waiting for?

Edit: and if you sign a message from the address you posted on Sept 10th it doesn't mean shit. It means you've owned this account for 6 days rofl.

Provide some proof. Sign an old message asap so you can get your account negative trust then send a mod a message so they can temp ban your account so they don't go deleting all of your posts or of course getting the 1BTC loan in the Self-moderated thread.

Edit: they're deleting posts now in the self moderated thread so hopefully you get some negative trust on the account asap

Contact immediately MOD/DT to neg that hacked account so that it will not qualify for loans any more and the lenders will get noticed about hacking and scam attempts instantly.

Firstly,
- Give a negative feedback for the hacked account account, like "do not deal/loan. Hacked account"
- Write the same in all threads wherever hacker writes / applies. Keep on following last posts.

Secondly,
- Sign a message with hacked account's staked address and post here with link of where staked addy got posted.
- If no staked addy, try with whatever address you had posted for campaigns/giveaways/games and rounds.

Generally you need to sign an address that is at least three months old and send it in a pm to Theymos. Here is a link of the procedures that you need to do: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/recovering-hacked-accounts-or-accounts-with-lost-passwords-497545, in the mean time, I'll paint the account with some red trust.
