I know with my setup I have to tell miner extra nonce subscribe. Otherwise disconnects after block. But I'm using 2013 asic. Try once using /#xnsub after your URL see if that helps.

I've pool mined many scrypts from the same miner before. I'm trying solo mining for the first time.
and /#xnsub didn't work.
What coin? Did you check to see if ports are per dev announcement? Also have you tried localhost:port?
