In the golden age of Espn in which they showing all kinds of non-traditional sports, it was a very popular event, one of those that you asked yourself is this a sport.

From what I have seen they  have established themselves as a competitive sport but have not grown in followers, but it is one of those things or sports that you stay there watching a guy lift 300 kilos in anything that is not a traditional weight.

I had not known about any competition for a long time, I liked the event where they took some stones of different weights and had to lift them and mount them on some pillars, it was almost always the final event.

Although I would not bet on this type of event, you should add additional information about bookmakers, where these events can be seen live, with the great specialization of streaming that we live today surely there is some.

Man, I remeber those days, I used to watch it on Eurosport XD The sport itself has evolved to more suit a sport rather then just a freak show. I think there is a slow incline in fan support, nothing major but we are getting there.

on predicting the winner- I am rooting for Martins Licis, but it could also go to Novikov, Shaw, The Stoltmans or Mateusz, so it's anybody's guess.

I will be doing a full breakdown when the event happens
they are the best especially for Martins Licis and The Stoltmans but don't know why I'd rather see what shaw does here.
indeed for some matches shaw tends to be more casual and rarely wins matches but i don't know why i like his style of play.
and btw if I'm not mistaken Licis has become the champion after this match was stopped for quite a long time

I get that. Shaw is more methodical in his approach, more calculated, like a mad scientist. One of the highest sport IQs on roster.

Is this true:
they are the best especially for Martins Licis and The Stoltmans

So close.

Well Bjornsson (The Mountain) is retired as of 2020, but it is a shame that betting sites are still not going with this sport. They will, but it takes time.

Here we have the full results from the event (this is from the Reddit megathread, they are the best)

Licis winning the event after a 2 year lay off is just showing that he is one of the top strongmen in the world and gained him a new nickname 'Mr. Consistency' Smiley He was at the top of every event. Shaw getting injured gave place to Kieliszkowski who came back after falling on the first event. Tom Stoltman and Novikov are here to stay at the top, it's just a matter of who's night, is it. A bit sad Luke Stoltman didn't do better, but not every event can be a good one for everyone.

^^  If you are aware of the tournament and following them, it would be great if you could give a review about the upcoming event. I used to watch small clips in social media about the strongman competition and that is the most i have done and i have no idea about the participants nor i do not remember the names of the participants i have watched.

Actually, I am a big fan of the sport, but it would be too long of a read if I broke down everything.

A few brief pointers:
- Rogue Invitational is an event held by a huge equipment manufacturer that is bringing to the roster almost all of the current big names of the sport (former and current WSM winners, multiple podium finishers on a bunch of events, and veterans of the sport)
- The events are pretty standard for the strongman comps and favor one competitor over the other depending on the event. So everybody has their strengths and weaknesses
- I am biased on predicting the winner- I am rooting for Martins Licis, but it could also go to Novikov, Shaw, The Stoltmans or Mateusz, so it's anybody's guess.

I will be doing a full breakdown when the event happens
