The transaction may not be broadcasted at all the first time you sent it, or other reasons that could drop a transaction from mempools;
It might also be a sync issue.

Whatever the reason is, just clear Ledger Live's cache to clear the "non-existing" transactions from its history.

This worked perfectly. Thank you a million. I cleared the cache in ledger live and it went away. Thanks again.

I sent a $20.31 transaction to another waller with a fee of .284 cents.
Are you talking about Bitcoin? If so, it's better to show amounts in Bitcoin. 0.284 cents is 7 sat, which isn't possible unless you're a miner (the minimum fee for 111 vbytes is 111 sat, which is just over 4 cents)

I did look on block explorer and it says no transactions found. I dont know why its sitting there. 5 days now. I didnt do anything out of the ordinanry
Ledger Live is quite limited. You can use Ledger with Electrum instead. Don't enter your seed words into Electrum, but follow Ledger's instructions.

I just had a question I hope someone could answer. I sent a $20.31 transaction to another waller with a fee of .284 cents.
0.284 cents is about 700 sats but without knowing the transaction size we can't tell if it's a high or low fee. We need to know the transaction size to calculate the fee rate.
Anyway, during the last four days, even with 1sat/vb (which is the minimum fee rate you can set as Charles-Tim explained above), your transaction was supposed to get confirmed within few minutes. So the fee you paid is unlikely to be the problem here!
Did you look up the transaction id on any blockexplorer to check if it really didn't confirm?

The mempool is not congested at all, recently 1 sat/vbyte transactions are getting confirmed which is the lowest feerate you can use. Check your transaction, it should be confirmed.

Make sure your wallet is synchronizing with the blockchain.

You can also use Tor to track it on blockchain explorer like https://blockchair.com to be certain about the transaction if confirmed or not yet confirmed.

Lastly, what is your recommended "per sat" fee that you use with no problems?
Track the feerate (in sat/vbyte which is used on reputed wallets) that can make miners include your transaction into a block early:

I just had a question I hope someone could answer. I sent a $20.31 transaction to another waller with a fee of .284 cents. It has been pending unconfirmed for 4 days. You cant bump the fee in ledger live like you can trezor suite. When will the transaction either confirm or cancel? I would prefer it just cancel and drop off at this point. Other transactions that I have had also had low fees but confirm just fine. This one is special. Lastly, what is your recommended "per sat" fee that you use with no problems? Thanks
