Hi all, thanks for the advise. It seems it was a common newbie error. All i had to do was clear the cache and download the latest version of Jaxx. Bit scary as account shows balance of zero for 5 mins when performing that...anyway as long as you have your backup words its ok. All coins there now ...HAVE A GREAT XMAS AND NEW YEAR.

In my humble opinion, just pay a bit of a higher fee to avoid the inconvenience next time.

It's not actually paying a higher bit of fee but choosing the higher fee will be different when it comes to time transaction. Accelerators can be used also with this kind of issue paying with a small amount.

Most of the problems like this happens when the transaction amount is almost same with the transaction fee.
I would contact LocalBitcoins because it has likely reverted back to the wallet and out of the mempool by now.
Hi Guys, hoping someone can help me. I transferred Bitcoin from Local Bitcoins NZ 2 days ago to my wallet. It has left Local Bitcoins but hasn't shown up in my wallet!

your transaction has been accelerated. I should suggest you to check and speed up as soon as you do your transfer. It is the easiest way to shorten time.

Did any of you guys even check the transaction ID before writing your post?

The TXID of the time of posting of OP already had atleast over 100 confirmations.. It was

and shortly confirmed in  Block: 499552..

My god the current state of the forum is really, really bad.

The bolded part doesn't make sense. It does not matter if you are sending 1btc with 1btc fee and 10k satoshi with 10k satoshi fee, what important is the fee per KB of your transaction size. you can send thousands of bitcoin in a single transaction and pay only .001btc, your transaction will be confirmed if the size of your transaction is just small

Then there is something wrong with your wallet, as the transaction ID you provided da086e2b3954e81daa7de6b8cf330db26959d457b80a1c636a1a2f8572fa2bbd seems to have been confirmed a long time ago.

(Currently has over 260 Confirmations).

What wallet are you using?
