UPDATE

Member coboguard noticed something weird today

http://sudokuwallet.io, the unsecure link, Which was displaying the scam sudoku wallet for the past few months and is the link I actually reported to namecheap.com as the fraud domain has now completely turned into another website which is completely not related to Sudoku wallet  Roll Eyes

https://sudokuwallet.io/ that was on and off is still showing the scam sudoku wallet.

How is this possible? Anybody with knowledge about domain names and hosting please clarify  Wink
I thought that HTTPS was just an SSL security protocol but the website behind the domain remains the same.

If anyone is interested, they can also do the same: https://support.namecheap.com/index.php?/Tickets/Submit
And then under departments, select Abuse Reports then Fraud / Phishing and press next and enter details.
I just reported them too:

Code:
Subject: Scamming bitcoin

Please read in details: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5263107.0

To summarize:

They claim to be a mixing service. but here is what they did:
1. Scammed a user BTC and kept asking him more and more BTC to release the earlier BTC he sent them.
- A mixing service will never do that

2.. They had a Google ad that used Wasabi Wallet's contents
- This was done without the permission of the owner of Wasabi wallet. ref: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5194344.msg54705931#msg54705931
NB: User nopara73 is the creator of Wasabi wallet.

3. Several stupid claim when are actually lie. Ref: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5263107.msg54845941#msg54845941

Please investigate the case and upon found guilty please disable their domain so that they can not scam the next person.

Cheers,

Hopefully we will see some action. I will also try to talk to their customer support to ensure that the matter will be dealt as quick as possible. Thanks for bringing this up.

I tried opening again their website and it seems that they have fixed their connection. Should I report their website here? [1]
looks like it was temporary, It back where it was. Check and see.

https://safebrowsing.google.com/safebrowsing/report_phish/?hl=en even though it's not a phishing website?

Chances are, more people would still be using this fraudulent website.
I have been disappointed with safe browsing reporting in the past as the Google chaps would rarely do anything.
I think reporting domain abuse is a much better option. It recently worked when @Royse777 reported smartmixer.io, another scam bitcoin mixer.

I have just reported Sudoku wallet's Domain

I remember this project when first lunched last September before to lunch their signature campaign later. By checking it's ANN thread here in bitcointalk, official representer of the project (also called sudokuwallet) wasn't able to reply to the questions made by user DarkStar in first replies of that thread. I remember [i think i am not wrong] he was tagged by DarkStar but i don't know how he convinced him to remove the neg trust.

My concern was that they claimed to have no database, which was a blatant lie. Eventually they agreed to remove that statement from the site and I deleted my negative trust because it was no longer justified.

Of all the projects doing scam mixing wallet is one of the worse because so many users are using this kind of service for their transaction, some even transact as high as 10 Bitcoin here, the temptation for the developers to scam is very high.

Reporting it to google will not stop users to see them on other search engines since that report link will only work for google search engine but doesn't do for bing, yahoo, duckduckgo, and etc. Reporting them to their website's registrar will help to take down the whole website's domain.

Code:
Domain name: sudokuwallet.io
Registry Domain ID: D503300001182074612-LRMS
Registrar WHOIS Server: whois.namecheap.com
Registrar URL: http://www.namecheap.com

Report the domain for abuse - fraud, though you need to give them a strong proof that the website is operating against their registrar's terms.
This is the right thing to do if they do not have a server and domain they cannot scam anymore, and they might disable the account for using their server for scamming people, I support reporting these scammers for domain and server abuse, I'm sure Namecheap will not tolerate this kind of abuse.

From the start of launching their ANN thread, they weren't even answers to those legitimate questions made by ETFbitcoin and DarkStar_. It's hard to trust Bitcoin mixer service like this. They already lose their credibility here instead of building trust here in our community that might these people have the potential to use their service. But now, isn't convincing at all.

From there FAQ, I saw this line.

Sounds funny, they already admit itself of not trusting them.

I supported the flag too and reply above were right, maybe the appropriate board is scam accusation.

I read the requirements to sent another new batch of bitcoin to the mixer to receive funds back. That is weird. It is a stupid new scam efforts and not different from scam giveaway, send 1 btc and get 2 btc backwards.

What does the owner of the mixer think? Refund immediately to that user is the only option they should do. Don't refund and ask for more bitcoin from likely the victim and said your bitcoin will be ok, and sent back to you after I receive some more btc from you.

Is it a ransom requirement?

Not surprised, even when they announce their service for first time, there are some fishy things that @_DarkStar and myself found out.

P.S. maybe this thread should be moved to Scam Accusations

I am sick am tired of seeing Fake/scam mixing service come here pretending to promote their services through signature campaigns only to exit and scam off innocent users. We saw this with Smartmixer.io and now Sudokuwallet.io seems to have pulled off the same script.

Nothing surprise me if these kind of events and situations do happen in the market yet any service may look legit for this day and do become a scam tomorrow this is why im not really fan on using up
new service or havent been known yet by the community.I heard of about Sodokuwallet but i didnt make myself nor intend to make use of it in the first place.

Its clear into those alibis that they are just trying to make the user to deposit even more btc's and when its been confronted then they didnt had an answer which is already a strong indication of scam.

Thanks for sharing this up and hope that there would be no other victim on this shitty scammy wallet.

Why can't they simply make money the right way? They will be earning life long and make more money if they continue to work legitimately than by scamming innocent users.

It is very unfortunate that another scam happened and they used this forum to promote their product. Still, signature campaign is the best way to promote a product on this forum. No one knew that they will scam users later on.

This is very unfortunate using this forum to promote their program then scam people, I am supportive of program that promoted their program here and launches a signature campaign but that doesn't guaranty that they are not going to do an exit scam, people should always aware of the risk on using new programs they have no reputation to lose, compared to the more established ones.

01/07/2020 I used Sudoku wallet to mix my coins, but after sending 0.48455333 BTC my wallet became unavailable. I sent a support request, but received a reply only after I wrote on the forum.

Why don't you just send me the private keys here?

Or can you send mixed bitcoins to my address? Or make a refund to the address from which the bitcoins were sent.

I haven't had a response from support for 5 days. Also no one responded to my message on the forum:
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.54759620

2. Support did not respond to his plea for help, They were online yesterday and even decided to lock their ANN

3. They had a Google ad that used Wasabi Wallet's contents
The ad was deceptive, while it showed themes and taglines used by Wasabi Wallet, it would redirect an unsuspecting user to Sudoku wallet.

4. Clearnet website not using a secure connection
What kind of mixer can't even use a secure connection? What kind of privacy are they claiming to offer if they can't even do anything basic to secure their clearnet link connection?
