10^50,000 squares you say - I'm interested if anyone could make a calculation of how many years it would take using current global computation power. And yes, I realize it was just an example, the number taken out of air, but still.

I think that would result in every miner "solving" every block, everytime... How would you decide who gets the reward??

uh.  the first one to solve it?  and we're talking GIANT puzzles (like 10^25000 x 10^25000)  Smiley
