Except windows defender I have rarely used any anti virus. I did use AVG free and some others but always ended up uninstalling them. But lately I am feeling to have a good anti virus in my system. A free version will do the job for me. But my problem is to find a good one.

Can anyone help me a bit with some information to find which one will be better?

Thanks

Avast antivirus is one good program and even have free trial.

To be honest I find Windows Defender good enough. As long as you don’t go on shady torrent & porn sites you should be fine with just Windows Defender.

Thanks everyone for all suggestions and recommendations. I am using Malwarebytes now but the thing I do not like about it is, it slows my system lol. When I am working it starts scheduled scanning. I set it up for once a week.

Most probably I will get rid of it very soon and be happy with what I had before [Windows defender] 🤪
I'm about to suggest Malwarebytes too if you're just looking for a free one.

But so far so good Windows Defender works perfectly for me though.

Even Windows Defender runs scheduled scans.

If you're worried about performance impact, get yourself an SSD. You'll be amazed at how blazingly fast it is.

A good antivirus for laptops is Windows Defender It's a good computer to attack by something Windows Defender lets you delete everything one by one. There is no chance of damage Malware Hunter won't be able to catch all the bugs in the computer.

Avast offered one year free trial and 1 month free trial for their internet security software not sure that offer still exists or not but I am not using any antiirus other than the defender now a days because most of the time it causing more harm that good to the system like deleting system files will result in the problem in our OS.

I'm interested trying this anti virus. Does the license key can only be use once?

It's likely cracked and the AV would immediately revoke its validity the moment its detected.

License keys are usually valid for a time period, such as 1 year and cannot be shared among other devices.

If you don't browse so many websites which contain anything, it is enough to have just Windows Defender. I am afraid if you use another antivirus, it cannot scan better because both antiviruses will have a different method to scan the virus.

MalwareBytes can be a good choice to scan the virus, and Windows Defender will kick that virus to quarantine Grin

Eset NOD32 which ive been using for years now.. Here's some key for the license BGTC-X6KM-B4JN-P47V-WSW7  ..

Did you buy this key and generously share here? Or it comes from a keygen?

I second mk4 suggestion. Been using Malwarebytes and Defender too since years ago and no virus or malware whatsoever, as long as we don't do something stupid like giving some random app full priviledge without scanning it first.

You can make use on others too like Avast or MB which had been suggested above.

Just use the default Windows Defender, and download the free version of Malwarebytes[1] just for scanning purposes and you're most likely going to be fine as long as you don't blindly download random crap on torrent sites or on the internet in general. Had this setup on my Windows device since a decade ago and I never had any malware problems ever since.

Knowledge and being really careful > software in my opinion.

P.S. Always update your Windows OS for the security updates.
