I find your lack of faith in Bitcoin disturbing.
Maybe it'll be implemented in the Epoch system, but I doubt we'll ever see it in the SMF version.

For the moment, there are no such options on Epochtalk (just the website and the BTC address). But it isn't the hardest thing to add.

And here is the answer of theymos:
Those fields are actually built a bit deeply into SMF for some reason, so it's not completely trivial to change, but it can be done. Low on my to-do list, though, as hugeblack mentioned.
I agreed with this. If someone have interests to contact someone else, they can easily do it through PMs in the forum. Then, if they have interests to do deeper discussions, they can move to other channels. If the forum adds Discord, Telegram, and other current channels, then what happen next if more comunication platforms launched and become widely used in the future. Forum users will ask places for personal contacts, and profile pages might have 100 rows in total. That's weird.

I am alive but in hibernation.

Maybe it'll be implemented in the Epoch system, but I doubt we'll ever see it in the SMF version.

Is there any further update after Theymos asked for volunteers to host and test the epochtalk ?
Did not hear anything that epochtalk is coming soon nor do I think that I read about any test result observation by volunteers.

There is quite literally anyone who uses AIM/AOL anymore because AIM is defunct as of December 2017. I don't believe the other instant messaging services are very widely used.

I am no expert, but I would believe re-titling some of these fields would be fairly trivial.

Adding a proper Telegram field would help prevent a lot of scams..

Yes, that goes same with other escrows here:

A fixed telegram username option could atleast avoid most of the telegram frauds happing lately.

Terminated.
Adding a proper Telegram field would help prevent a lot of scams..

Shouldn't be that difficult to at least rename the field and change the icon.

I reckon the new software would render these obsolete. Until now, things stay as they are.

Placeholders that should be added: Discord, Telegram

I would also add keybase.io

It was discussed before, here:
The profile page should be changed. No one uses ICQ, AIM, MSN or YIM.

I am referring to all profile pages, click my name to see an example. I believe that maybe in the (distant) past, these placeholders would have been viable and okay, but in reality, nobody uses AOL, MSN, and the other placeholders. Let's be real

The placeholders that should be changed: ICQ, AIM, MSN, YIM

Placeholders that should be added: Discord, Telegram

I cannot give my opinion on how the change should be made - will users with information in the old placeholders be notified? The change should be fairly simple to do. Please try to make this happen
