I know enough about software development and user interfaces to realize there are better and more important things for the developers to be doing with their time
Basically they say Simple Machines Forum just does not cut it? Well... I can say the exact same thing by 2 minutes of user experience. So, we have a common point here!

So how about just using a more popular forum engine... like one 99% of the population uses?

. . . It's hardly worth the effort to code in an update to the site to cut down from 2 clicks to one click to see all your posts . . .
Wait... you coded this forum? May I ask why? . . .
No, I never said I coded it, but according to Theymos the source code has been heavily modified.

. . . If your core competence is bitcoin, why don't you do just that . . .
I've got 27 years experience in software development in a variety of fields, and an interest in the inner workings of Bitcoin.  I wouldn't include Bitcoin or Forum Software in a list of my "core competencies", but I know enough about software development and user interfaces to realize there are better and more important things for the developers to be doing with their time than trimming a single click off your attempts to see your own post history.

. . . distribute your forum engine to others too, so they can use yours instead of phpBB, vBulletin, MyBB?
I'm pretty sure the original source of this forum engine is already freely distributed to others.

Are you talking about the ability to "search"?  Then I'd suggest Google or even the little search box in the upper right.

On the other hand if you are just looking for a list of all your posts instead of the "new replies to your posts" and "unread posts since last visit" that are available with the single click at the top of the page . . .

I just don't see 2 clicks being that complicated.  It's hardly worth the effort to code in an update to the site to cut down from 2 clicks to one click to see all your posts. If you use the list that often, create a bookmark to the page and place it on the toolbar of your browser.

Yeah, I recognized it's not that easily navigable as any other standard popular forum engine like phpBB, vBulletin or MyBB (best).

If your core competence is bitcoin, why don't you do just that, and install an already proven forum solution?

If, on the other hand your core competence is UI design and forums, why don't you distribute your forum engine to others too, so they can use yours instead of phpBB, vBulletin, MyBB?

Did you try the search in the upper right hand corner?

by 1-click and not just new posts. Makes sense, doesn't it?
