Maybe admin did it on purpose, in that the forum search function prunes out some results so that the searching process is much quicker. Such processes if done simultaneously by so many users can cause slow forum loading speed due to overloaded servers.

For example sometime back i tried to use the search function using so many keywords and it wouldn't even load or bring back any results.

If not, I am really not sure what you're looking for, or tell us what you're looking for in particular so we can help you.

I explained everything before.
Other people confirmed search function has this flaws...
I want to use this filter for my own research and investigations in forum, and not only for single search.

Maybe something like: 'repeat the search with the omitted results included.' can be added.

Imagine if you searched for the word "the" which you repeat at least twice in this thread. The search results would only show one of those replies rather than the entire set.

Does this help tackle your issue???

No, it does not tackle forum issue, and you did not entered in specific form "Twitter Profile".
Again, as I said, I chose random member and entered random repeating words that can be found in many posts for specific member.
Even with one word I was not getting correct results.
Search function is simply not working as it should.
Okay you mean like this, where you want to search the whole word??

As far as I know, and as what TryNinja said, the search feature doesn't show perfect results for the query you are entering. And it didn't seem to be a Filter Feature as it only is done by using the Search Feature. Filtering requires different categories or tags to FILTER such posts, in which the forum doesn't have any. Maybe we must suggest that the staff would add atleast three (3) tag words for each post / thread makers to somehow filter what a user wants to see and isolate other threads at the same time.

I believe what you're referring to is the issue of topic/post parity - search results only revealing one reply per thread.

I do not recall any methodology to combat this. Even Google results have the same issue, IIRC.

The search feature is not perfect. I have tried myself and many of my posts don't show up (maybe it takes some time to index the posts or some are just ignored/bugged/etc). Something else you could also do is advanced search with Google:

Code:
Aroshnoor "Twitter Profile" site:https://bitcointalk.org

This searches in BitcoinTalk for posts with the exact text "Twitter Profile" and that also show Aroshnoor. Of course, there are many false-positives as someone could post his twitter profile in a post and mention Aroshnoor, or him itself could post something else there. But it's another tool you can use to find what you want.

Oh boy... looks like I need to read manual for this Smiley
Thank you all for posting instructions.
Is this working on all topics or some are excluded?

btw I was not really searching for theymos/trump, it was just an example  Cool

EDIT:
For example let's take this random member:
Aroshnoor
https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/aroshnoor-1206648

I enter this search terms "Twitter Profile", but I am not getting all results where he entered this term as I can check and confirm in all his posts: https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/aroshnoor-1206648;sa=showPosts

*I only selected Bounty section

Results I am getting is only topics he entered, but not all posts.
Go and examine yourself if you don't trust me.

I have been testing it and found it is not precise and does not show all results correctly.
I want to see all posts where specific word is mentioned, not just topics.
There is an options box
Check the "Show results as messages" box to display all the posts and replies that contain the key word you want from a certain user.

Edit:
Don't forget to quote the keyword you would like to search in the search box. If you don't quote a word like "Trump", it may also bring results like trumpet.

All posts including a specific word are shown.
I just searched for posts including word "trump" made by Theymos.
Below is the result.

Click on the text inside the blue box to go to the first post of that thread.
Click on the text inside the red box to go to the post made by Theymos.

I have been looking for previous post for some members (including my own)
and I was wondering if we can implement a small change in forum and add Filter option when looking at posts.

For example, if I look at theymos posts:
https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/theymos-35

I would like to see only his posts where he mentioned specific words, like for example: Cøbra, or Trump, or multiple words...
