That button exists because it has usecases. That's it.

Sometimes, one user is annoying, and I don't want to see that user's posts in that period but overtime when things are cooling down enough, maybe I will unignore that user.

Sometimes, we ignore someone because they are shitposters in the period but after a long time, they likely change and I will unignore that user. For this Usecase, mostly I use it when there is an interesting thread/ discussion and I have interests in, then I see many other users discuss with the post of my ignored user. I will feel curious what's going on, and unignore that user.

Some other usecases for Unignore feature. Basically, people change over time and give us chances to use the Ignore/Unignore button.

Was this feature a newly created one because to be honest I just recently ignored some user here in the forum, I think it's only less than five users.
It is very old apparently https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.1385974, although I used to forgot it when I don't visit trash & society sub for a long period.

Well, I have the same issue even if it's dragged you can only see a slight view of the text. How about the feature shouldn't be there if you already have ignored the user?
You may have to read, or want to read, a specific post of that user for whatever reasons you may have. Someone may be stupid and a troll, but they may be right in some very specific cases. Deleting the show feature not the right step to take if you ask me. Making that current feature work in "any" major browser would be more appropriate.

No God or Kings, only BITCOIN.
What browser are you using? It shows perfectly fine for me - expanded to full size of the post - in FireFox.
Despicable Chrome, both on phone and laptop

It shows the same on both, but phone is a bit easier to scroll because of user sensbility

Until now, I have noticed that there's an option to show/hide a post of ignored user. I would be happy browsing the forum without the option  Wink
Same problem here as well. I can't see more than a line; on my mobile now, chrome browser.

Despicable Chrome, both on phone and laptop
Until now, I only noticed it on Chrome on my mobile, but I can now confirm the problem on desktop too.
Firefox on desktop doesn't have the problem, I haven't tested Firefox mobile yet.

The only workaround I know for this is unignoring the user, reading the post, and then ignoring back; and it's kind of tedious to do on small screens from phones (and it recharges the whole site, which consumes data). Let me know if there's another one please.
Alternative: open the post in a private window to read it.

Now, what's the problem (I see) with that button? See screenshot bellow.....

Desktop?
In my case it shows just 1.5 line in both chrome and UC Browser mobile.
So I assume it is related to the browser and/or navigation system (phone / desktop?)

I did the same thing also sometimes when the ignored guy (have 3 kkk) is posting in mildly interesting topic. It is annoying but using the phone i can scroll down the text and read it line by line.
I support your idea. A 3 lines window should be enough, although I assume this suggestion isn't a priority for admins.

I'm not 100% sure the title is self explaining, so here comes the explanation....

I'd bet that most users are aware that even if you ignore a certain user; you can still see a specific post from that user if you c,lick the "Show/Hide button"

Why would someone want to read a post from an ignored user? Well, there are plenty of reasons; and that's not the main topic here, so I'll leave it up to each user to make some thinking and have the answer to this.

Now, what's the problem (I see) with that button? See screenshot bellow.....

If the text of that post is short enough, it can fit inside the box; but when it has more than a couple of lines of text.... it's unreadable.

So my suggestion is to make that text box bigger. It doesn't have to be the whole post size; but at least something more readable....

The only workaround I know for this is unignoring the user, reading the post, and then ignoring back; and it's kind of tedious to do on small screens from phones (and it recharges the whole site, which consumes data). Let me know if there's another one please.
