Also, one added benefit of this change would be that it would probably reduce the load of the server, which seems to be a bit overwhelmed
I think it would be a good idea to ban images in forum posts and signatures. It should make the forum look more boring, which should deter a good number of trolls and other people who post low-quality stuff. People will still be able to link to imgur or similar if they really need to show something.
