I have been doing alot of research on ICO's as you will have noticed on the landing page of www.coinXca.com
I believe ICO hold great investment hope, but picking  one to invest in is a shot in the dark.  Here is a page that shows ICO sites.
https://www.coindesk.com/the-ultimate-list-of-resources-for-researching-and-launching-icos/
I am no further ahead reading each list as the authors don't select the next ICO winner.  Regards, Doug

I saw XRP or Rippel has ranked third in coinmarketcap, maybe you can add it here, very good for a newbie when reading this. and avoid losses for the newbie to make transactions with cryptocurency.

Money often costs too much.

The coins in red are ones that I don't know much about, so they currently lack a description. I might add their description later on. Feel free to suggest a short, one-sentence description and I'll add it to the list. If there are any mistakes or I've left something important out, then feel free to point it out as well.

MaidSafeCoin: oldest project ever that might deliver tomorrow

Zcash: a half dozen people conspirating a genesis block

Decred:
... now this is one I'm unsure about. Glanced over their Golang source. Elegant, structured. But that tells you not much about legitimacy.

I thought it might be a good idea to make a list of short, one-sentence descriptions of the most important altcoins. This idea isn't new, but most of the existing lists out there are old and outdated. Of course, it's possible to search the name of each coin on Google and go through the links one by one or read through each coin's [ANN] thread but this can be a rather tedious process. So I think this would save people some time.

Since the list is always changing, I'll try to update it every few days/weeks.
