This is GREAT NEWS!!!
as the crypto sphere in general should resist centralisation in order to avoid mistakes of the past/current fiat sustems

i have been an avid SUMOKOIN miner

the network hasrate drop has been phenomenal meaning a great share of it was aSICK machines afforderd mainly by banks and manufactured by 2 companies

Sumo has gainned our full support and will look to open dialogue with them in cohorts with the GPU miners community and more specificaly from our perspective

Hi gents,

Sumo is about to HF soon. The most important reason is the implemenation of CryptoNight Heavy, Sumokoin's new ASIC-proof PoW algo. For further information about CN-Heavy and the differences to Monero's CNv7 check out the link below.

https://github.com/curie-kief/cryptonote-heavy-design

The algo will make ASICS useless for Sumo for a long time. We also changed the GPU/CPU ratio to make botnet mining more unprofitable (CPU's will get about 30% less HR than before). Small CPU miners won't be effected much, since the expected HR drop will let your outcome to remain stable.

We believe most CN coins will follow monero's path with CNv7, so Sumo will have an unique and elegent algo, making ASIC manufacturers and botnet admins follow CNv7 instead of Sumo. Our network will provide a better decentralisation, making it fair for small miners and beginners.
