Been planning to open this for a while now, welcome to
Zee's Super Footie Fourteen Prediction Pool!
Just like the name implies, in the Super Footie-Fourteen contestants are going to need to nail
14 predictions per round to be able to get the grand prize that could go
up to a whooping 14k U.S. dollars! (More on this below)
But don't feel discouraged! You don't need to actually get 14 correct games to win money, since this is going to have a pool structure, you only need to surpass your fellow players! Here's how the pay structure works:
Pool payout and entry fee: Entry Fee : 0.0025BTC (~10$).
Minimum of 5 players. The entry fee remains stable in btc for every round, but it might change between rounds. The prize tickets I buy are in fiat, so you will see me adjust the entry fee accordingly. If the minimum amount of players isn't reached, all bets are completely refunded with my own extra fees and the round is declared invalid.
86% Player Pool. This will always be paid pack to the players, regardless of how many wrong games they get, following this structure :
50% for 1st place.
27% for 2nd place.
9% for 3rd place.
14% Tickets + Organizer fee. This is used to purchase contest tickets for the jackpot pick prizes.
The pool pot will never leave the game address unless the round is over and winnings are being distributed. Each round will have a single address for play. Prize payouts : In addition to the pool prize, every time you participate, you get tickets to win more cash! Prizes are :
14 Correct picks : Up to 14.000 USD.13 Correct picks : Up to 3.500 USD.12 Correct picks : Up to 1.500 USD.These prizes come from a local gambling source, so the prizes can be lower than the maximum amount depending on the contest winners locally, but they are definitely possible, more information in the FAQ.
Entry format : Every round can include games from Premier League, Serie A, Europa League, Bundesliga, La Liga, and French League. It's also possible for a round to be on the Champions League.
Each entry needs to follow the following format:
Entry tx :
https://blockchain.com/btc/tx/
Team A - Team B : 1
Team C - Team D : 2
Team E - Team F : X
...
1 stands for 1st team win, 2 stands for 2nd team win, X stands for draw. Since the order of teams matter I will archive my own post every time I announce the teams for each round.
Each correct pick is one point, making every round maxed at 14 points.
Editing your post is an instant disqualification. Please know that once your bet is in, it's final. I can't un-buy the tickets.
F.A.Q. :
Where does the money come from?
- The prizes are provided from a local lotto that follows the same format. The only difference is that any participant with lower than 11 correct picks gets nothing back, which allows for big profit margins for the remaining players + the house. This is not the case for me because I always give back 86%, regardless of how many wrong games you get.
What do you mean by "up to 14k"?
- Since the prize money isn't infinite, in the case of multiple winners with 14 correct picks, the jackpot is obviously split between them. So while you may not see them, but when you get a ticket you're competing with roughly 1 million local participants.
Doesn't this mean I'll never be able to win 14k?
- Getting 14 correct games is not an easy task, for the last 2 weeks no one has been able to get a full pick. On average about 8 people per round manage to pull it off. But hey, look at it this way : If you absolutely believe in your skill, then every week you're going to surpass everyone and win half the pot. Land 12 correct games or higher, and you're going to get rewarded with more sweet cash.
What if multiple people have the same top picks?
- Pay structure is going to be adjusted to always pay the top 3 picks first. If there are at least 3 players with better picks than you, you are most likely not going to win anything from the pool. Note that you can still win prize money since it doesn't belong to the pool.
Example 1 : 1 player gets 14 points, 3 players get 13. 1st player gets 50%, 3 players split 27 + 9 = 36% among themselves.
Example 2 : 2 players get 14 points, 3 players get 13. 1st+2nd players split 50+27% = 77% together, the remaining 3 players will split 9%.
What if one of the matches is cancelled/delayed?
- This has happened before with the French League. If that happens again for other games, then the prize is lowered by each removed game. If 4 games are cancelled, no one will win any extra prize, but the pot will still be split as usual.
I don't want to trust you, I want to trust that other random person on the internet!
It would cost a lot up front for me to get involved in something like this. A % of a bunch of $10 entries wouldn’t be worth my time and lending my reputation for if something went wrong. Good luck though!
- I respect his answer and that's why I decided not to ask any escrow and to run this pool myself, it's the only way I can keep my share to the minimum possible and keep the pot share high. Keep in mind since I'm adjusting based on fiat value, I'll roughly always ask for 10$ per player each round.
Can I see the tickets?
- Absolutely! I was planning to send a PM to each participant with his lotto receipt containing all his games. I can also do it publicly if players would want to.
How will prize winnings be distributed?
- In case you win a prize other than from the pot pool, I'll try to convert it to btc. This question will most likely be answered via PM and depending on the amount won.
If you have any other questions you can always ask and I'll add them to the F.A.Q.
Cheers and good luck to everyone! Also have a Merry Christmas!
