Some mailers classify mails from bitcointalkforum as spam/junk, if you didn't add them to your contacts. So look also to spam or junk. All other actions would be not worth it for a newbie account with no activities. The probability, that your account was hacked, is quite low.

I still have the Email and user name associated with the account but I can not get to reset the password.
